Hi, Im pretty useless when if comes to replacing things and this site has always helped! My window winder handle broke and purchased a new one from vw for my 2000 lupo. I was wondering whether anyone knows how to take the trim off without breaking it because the replacement doesn't have the trim. Then how to remove the old and replace the crank? If anyone knows anything or anywhere I can get this information from, that would be great! Cheers, Rich.

Hi all, Im going to canada for 4 months in Feb and im going to sell my Lupo as i wont require its services anymore. I was wondering whether any of you guys could help me at what price i should maybe sell it at? Because ive been travelling since septemeber and im not sure what things are worth anymore lol. Is it a black lupo, w reg year 2000 1.0 standard. On the outside there are a few scratches on it but nothing major, just what you would expect from a 7 year old car, this is the same for the interior after a good clean it will be in good condition. No central locking or alarm. Normal windows. So i think its a pretty standard lupo. There are a few things which i am going to try sort out before i sell it. I the drivers side lock barrel is broken which should be sorted next week (also there is 2 seperate door keys which is a pain). Mechanically it is fine apart from one thing (maybe you could help me on this aswell), basically in the morning or when the car has been sitting for a few hours, the engine wont allow me to accelerate over 3000 revs. People have told me it is something to do with the choke, but to be honest it isnt doesnt effect the drive too much, becuase when it heats up it is fine. Other than these i dont think there is anything else i need to do. The MOT is untill may 08 (it failed previous MOT on tires which i have replaced), and is taxed till march. It has about 8000 miles left until service is due. It has all service history with it also. Apart from the choke and locks i havent had any problems. If someone could maybe give me an idea of what price to sell this for, or a realistic target for me to get for it. If anyone could get back to me it would be greatly appreaciated. Cheers Rich

hi, i have a standard lupo 1.0 and i really want to put some 15" bbs on it. I was wondering whether anyone knows from past experience whether it will need to be lowered for it to look decent? If so how much can i lower it without experiencing any problems with wheel arches etc. Any help would be much apreciated cheers rich

wen i first start my lupo, i accelorate off and when it hits 30 revs it sort of cuts and doesnt keep reving. After driving it round the block like this i turn the engine off and on, then it is fine. I was wondering whether anyone knows the problem, or whether to fix it. Any replies will be much appreciated! cheers rich

hi jus got a new lupo, but the locks on the doors are *****. I have a separate key for each door. I was wondering if anyone would be able to hazzard a guess on how much it would cost for some new locks, and possibly central locking? This includes fitting cos i havnt a clue about electrics lol!
