  1. im geting like 55mpg, and with todays fuel prices its all about mpg not bhp ;) hahaha

worrying about mpg is for people who talk through their nose, quote chassis numbers and talk about 'good value' when buying their new family hatchback.

i tried buying a derv recently, i just can't bring myself to drive it, and it's ruining our driveway style, me and my dad have 4 cars, between them they have 30 cylinders and 17.5 litres...

  2. Pm with some details if your not wanting beans spilt online :shades: :shades:

    What engine code?

c20let corsa b, would prefer it in a Nova but try finding a clean Nova shell for less than 500!

i didn't realise how cheap they were to build. Still investigating using a Saab turbo motor as that could make it cheaper. I got a lot of Vaux' loving friends who've offered to bolt it all together one weekend too, which is handy!

  3. Dave dixons nova lol its quick.

He had turbines on it , dark brown ones.

Another mate with the burgundy red top corsa screwed a cv warming his tyres up , lucky he brought it down on a trailer, because he didnt get a run they gave him his money back.

yep i was talking to dave a lot for help with my next project which i'll be starting once i get the mk3 tdi i'm breaking out the way!

    going vaux with boost B)

  4. what are you after doing to your car?

ACR specialise more in engine conversions, wiring looms, custom fabrication.

maybe not the cheapest, but the end product is nice...

a Rado they built won best Corrado at UD this year too (oem 20vt swap, Rado clocks, VAG management, etc)

i think they did a lot of the engine/chassis work on this mk2 as well

i could probably carry on all day with what cars they've built. They just work off word of mouth instead of advertising.

  5. has this thing won any awards yet this year??? i think you're at a bit of a disadvantage as i presume most shows don't have an arosa class. should just get put in the lupo class!

just put a vw badge on it. :D

harri is correct, us gingers have no soul. I can kill a bear with one hand though.

  6. lighter and grippier tyres.

i now have no crash bars and less interior. Easy 40/50kgs lighter (I was struggling to knock 20 bicep curls out with the crash bars haha) and I can launch 2,000rpm harder. :)

by all accounts I pissed my money up the wall over the winter... i had a great time but zero cash to spend on the car.

  7. argh those nettles

was class last year, surprised me and Stevo didn't get booted out to be honest

if the weather is the same it'll be a real good weekend. You wanna convoy down again Ady?

  8. i recommend camping, it was good fun last year, i don't remember much but who we camped with unfortunately remember plenty

you can't miss my car on the sprint it's a bit noisy :)

  9. To be fair, it is very well known by now that a lock up is a vital ingredient to a turbo converted lupo.

Nothing wrong with building a car in a shed... some of the fastest cars I know were built in a shed/lock up.

  10. Ben, the guy who runs Dark Circle specialises in doing that kind of art - if memory serves me right he's called Mel.

There's a group on facebook with their work on - Dark Circle Tattoo Studio i think is the name of it.

  11. Noticed there are few of you from the NE in here. Where would you lot recommend checking out to have work done?

    Ta :)

Depends what you want but Dark Circle in Middlesbrough are highly regarded and typically have a long waiting list.

I'm wondering whether to piss up another month of saving on covering my left arm from the elbow up
