No ones mentioned steering?? Only concerned as new car likes to go left a bit and dealership are in denial at the moment and say its torque steer is this true?? It happens at a steady speed as well as higher speeds?? Though the camber on the passenger wheel don't look the same help it sits under the arch a bit Your views?

L200 UPO works for Swindon Council they park in the same car park as me i've not seen it for a while though.

Very true it's not a popular colour one of the reasons i snapped it up, they had only had it in a week and hadn't even taken a photo to put on the VW site. With eyes like a hawk i drove down there and after the test drive there was no turning back i had sold my soul to the devil haha It seems as though when the GTi was being bought that most people were going through the silver phase lol, nothing against the silver ones honest (just not my bag baby) lol

Thanks guys i will cherish her!! As for the wheels will get them all painted at the same time as for the colour i will do a bit of photoshopping to see what kind of colour to paint them. Red and Black look good with white Brat's so as the Anthracite is a dark colour i figured it would work we'll see i guess not decided just yet!

Not really tbh i like the car as it is at the mo though will look at doing is Cambridge Lights and getting the Brat's painted white need to get 2 of the wheels repaired as the woman before seemed to like curbs lol then lowering it at some point then i'll be happy.

Thanks It is quite a special colour and i was lucky come across it i wasn't even looking at the time i spotted her but she caught my eye. Worth it for the condition mileage and age etc Just under 17k

Hi guys just a post about my new car. My 1.4S has served me well and the temptation to get a GTi when i saw her was to much so fare well to Doris and hello to my new GTi I get to pick her up saturday .:T:.

Thing is i want the Wheel/Tyre set up to be as close to the over all dimension of the stock set up. eg -0.2/-0.3 diff in diameter so that the speedo isn't out to much. What about 175/50-15 on the rim? as that gives me a -0.3 diff? Or would rolling arches be enough on it's own? Please help lol I don't mind the idea of a stretch though i do like a good bit of grip when cornering

Well after Doris had a run in with a Merc she's back and healthy and as good as new so i've decided to treat her and my self lol I'm looking at getting some alloys as fed up with the steels and have at the moment decided on the Borbet CB's 7 x 15 et35 with tyres at 195 x 45 Will they fit ok am looking at dropping 40mm would there be any issues with rubbing etc??? Views and help appreciated T
