Try just kampers for your white walls, think you can get 14-15'' plastic white wall wheel trims
Used to know a few that ran them on old campers.....worth a look
-
You sure they're 6.5? Mine are 8 and look pretty much the same.
Interested in a poke shot pleeease

Doesn't a raven (bird) have sheen like feathering, when caught in the sun turns a shiny dark blue?
P.s I'm not a bird watcher, not that kind anyway
-
Jack, whatever colour you decide I'd block out the tabs at the end of each spoke and leave the recess alloy or spray it the colour of the car, I think that would look good
-
What colour? Welcome, get some pics up
-
Worthesee by wagenwerks not many loops but defo euro inspiration mate
-
Depends what you wanna do with it, loads of options vw euro,rat,oem.....do what you want and let us all see
-
Problem is its not like buying new, when you like a certain car and then get a choice of colour and trim.
If raven blue is the one you want be patient and try and get the next one.
Personally I'd pic car then colour

Usually you would paste the gasket, get it up on the ramps you'll soon see/feel

You must go to the halfrauds in the area where I brought my lupo from as I swear my side strips were araldite'd on haha
-
I'd have done exactly the same with the rear smoothing, sometimes you just need a handle
-
You can get proper automotive tape from halfrauds to stick it back on, just ask em for tape to stick my badge back on
-
Front badge pulls out rear prises off, don't spray on your car unless you want paint on the rad
-
And the remote is wired to the back of the unit?
-
I presume this is a powered/active sub not ran through a seperate amp?

If you want 'joint' advice send Ray a pm.
Is ray going to be at ud13? Whistle
-
Gonna be the same with a gti, you just got to take a risk sometimes.
I own a tdi, went 300miles to view it, mine wasn't the cheapest or best to be honest, seen a recent one go for less than 2k so just keep your eyes peeled.....plus the more rural the less likley it is to be scene taxed
-
Put a purple ring around the vw badge that will fit the recess all colour coded and unique too?
-
I'm thinking well done, great to see a save

Nice one boys
general order of things?
in Detailing and Cleaning

Hi all done some wet sanding on the lupo with the intention of polishing the scratches out....read a few of the threads on here and before I knew it, I'd purchased a load of gear and would like some advice....basically want to know if I've got things in the right order and I'm not doubling on products!
I'm thinking this....
1. Obviously wash car (looking into this will probably be 2bm only have zipwax car wash at the moment any suggestions?)
2.Meg's clay bar and detail spray (I guess this is just a lube for the clay)
3.Poorboys ss3 compound (will I see the wet sandpaper marks buff out here?)
4.This is where I'm confused/maybe too many products I was going to use poorboys black hole followed by natty paste wax would that be correct or should I skip the black hole and go to the natty's? Or use a sealant and one of the above?
Have megs wool glove, shed loads of microfibre cloths and pads and a rotary buffer and a mothers polishing ball
Christ I only wanted to spruce up the paint work, this detailing lark is immense!
Any advice appreciated
