[1.8t conversion brake master cylinder help needed]

I have almost finished my 1.8t conversion on my Lupo Gti but I am having a problem as the standard brake master cylinder is hitting the back of the engine.

What's master cylinder do people use?

Any help would be great

Last weekend started to strip the interior out of it. Did come apart nice and easy. Rear seats got a little tricky though.

And this weekend the engine and gear box where pulled out. Misses wanted to un bolt something lol.

Also went and view an A3 today which I have a deposit on and will be picking up tomorrow night. Will get some photos up of it.

Hi People.

So I brought a Lupo GTI around a year ago as a run around while I was building my Mazda RX8 which I don't use as daily any ways.

Haven't had much luck with it over the last year head gasket Christmas, cambelt few months later and then crashed it about a month ago. I fixed the sump and was back on the road but rear engine mouth had broken and just isn't running right. 165k on the clock it was time for the conversion I have always wanted to do.

Plan is 1.8t conversion

full respray in new colour

bucket seats

roll cage

harnesses

So far but I know with my rx8 the list just kept getting bigger and bigger as I went on with new ideas etc.

[Diffrence between lupo gti rear bumper and standard bumper?]

I'm looking to shorten my number plate on the back. I know you need to bumpers, was looking at using a normal bumper to fill the gaps in on the side as they didn't different in those areas!

Would I be right in saying that or would I need a second Gti bumper?

Pretty new to the forum. I've not long finished building my RX8 which is getting shot for its feature in July! Looks like my daily (lupo gti) is going to be the next project.

Really itching for speed. Really am tempted with the 1.8t conversion! Been reading a lot of threads! A very lot of the useless with how much does it cost etc.

Wanna know any information about any fabrication, what engine/ gear box people recommend and anything else useful to know.

I know that engine mounts have to be fab on engine and gear box. Plus custom drive shafts. Do you custom the engine mount for the engine your putting in?

If I brough coilovers new brakes would they need changing to suit the engine?

Any information would be much appreciated

Drove down to northen Italy over the srelvio pass last week in it on a rally . If you love driving well worth it.

Thank you. Not as bad as what I thought! Have the vw badge and gti badge from my old one. The rest was smashed up when I hit a car in the snow! Still trying to get parts with out paying silly money for them!

Hey people,

New to the site, brought my lupo gti not long before christmas. love the care but have had a lot of bad luck with it. head gasket. Then followed by small crash in the snow and not long after cam belt. Gutted. Running now tho.

I also own brown rx8 on bently wheels few of you might have seen it about.

Will get some pictures up of the lupo tonight or tomorrow.
