Hello all, Car packed up and the garage say it's dropped a valve and scored all the engine. They think I'd be better off just finding a replacement engine instead of trying to get the existing one repaired. Before I do anything I thought I'd talk to the people who know best - YOU GUYS!!! Engine code is AUA and it's a Lupo 1.4S 2001 on a 51 plate. Tried the local scappies. If they do have an engine it's the wrong engine code. Any help you guys can supply will be priceless as I fear my wee car will end up in car heaven otherwise. If someone has an engine or suggestions......as well as a reply on this forum, could you copy and paste your reply into an email to elvisgraham@hotmail.com ? Much appreciated and thanks in advance. Hi, One of my HT leads is broken although it still works. Don't really want to get ripped off by going to VW. Would like to get a cool set if I can. I see some of the cars on here have nice coloured ones and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction. If the coloured ones are way more expensive then I won't bother. If anyone one knows where to get good quality black ones for a fair price, that will do. Cheers again people! Alan

Not sure exact sizes. They have 8 holes bored out - looks like one of these universal type jobs. They do look pretty fat which is why I asked about the clearances. I'll take note of the info posted up and I guess I'll just have to try and see if they fit. Thanks for the post! Alan

Hello, Been offered a set of wheels but they are 15" with low profile tyres. Is it possible to put these straight on the car without any modifications to the car? Anyone tried it? Will it rub on the arches? Thanks in advance Alan

Hello, I am the owner of a VW Lupo 1.4 S. My car was overdue it's service by a few thousand miles and performance wasn't great. Car has just come out of the garage having been serviced and had a blowing exhaust. Car back into the garage to get the exhaust replaced. I now have a putting noise coming through the exhaust when the revs drop back down and I still think the performance of the car is still poor. I still get the feeling the car is holding back. Is it possible that the car just needs to go in for tuning or something? Could it be running too rich? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance Alan Graham

Hello, Just new to the forum although we have had our Lupo for 2 years. The EPC light keeps coming on in our 51 Plate Lupo (1.4). I have also noticed that when this light is on, we have no brake lights. I booked the car into the garage and the day before it was due to go in, the light went out and the brake lights re-appeared. This morning the EPC light has come back on and again I have no brake lights. I have checked the fuses etc and can see nothing wrong. Has any one else experienced this, know a fix or have any suggestions? Thanks in advance Alan
