Hey all, so we've sorted out the brick problem! It moved and dented the exhaust, so we've managed to sort it back it to place and the dent will have to stay, not damaging anything anymore though and that horrible rattle has gone yipeeeeee. But, today we were just checking over the car, engine etc... and took the oil cap off to find that horrible white/browny oil stuff . Actually cried my eyes out thinking the head gasket had shot it. My dad and my brother have had this happen to them on their cars and I know how much of a bitch of a job it is to do. Took it down to my brother garage and he checked it over... Luckily... very luckily it's not gone. I need a new thermostat though. Two pipes in the engine that are meant to get warm are not working properly... Only one of them gets warm. (Not sure what pipes they are, but they lead to the fan). My temp gauge has never worked so hopefully this'll be fixed too!! Will keep you updated, incase we come across anything else in the meantime; anyone know where I can get a 1L e thurmostat from and how much? Cheers guys xx

Found out last night that it hit the exhaust. Towards the back of the exhaust it has moved backwards but not 100% sure if they're any holes etc. going to get it up on the ramps on Saturday to have a better look!!!! Just hoping its not anything expensive . xx

Oscar hit a house brick . Not sure what's wrong with him now but there's a horrible noise coming from underneath. Going to have a good look at him at the weekend!

My brakes feel fine and I haven't got abs LOL! Do you think it might have knocked something out of place a little bit and its causin a vibration? The more I listen, the less I think it's a grinding noise xx

^^lol thanks guys! Jacked him up last night; me, my dad and my brother had a look everything looks absolutely fine. Gave everything a good wobble but couldn't hear the noise . The brick definitely hit my sump. I was lucky tbh! Going to have another good look at the weekend, when we've got more time. I'll keep you updated, if you want? Lol xx

Love CL <3 I've been at work all day so haven't had a chance to check anything, at the gym now and I've driven about two miles and the noise did stop but then it started again. I really can't tell if its from the front or the back. I might have a look when I get home, if my brother is there. If not it'll have to wait until the weekend. Do you think it'll be okay to drive? I only do 16 miles a day xx

Hey guys! Driving to work this morning and there was a house brick or something like it in the middle of the road. I couldn't avoid it as there were cars behind and to the side of me . It was a horrible noise, and I screamed lol . Brick went everywhere, and the guy behind me wasn't too please.. Woops. Anyway, Oscar is now making a horrible grinding noise when I pull off and up to third gear. There is nothing hanging down... that I can see of. The gear box feels fine and the engine/exhaust sounds fine. Any ideas? xx

No plans as of yet as I'm still paying him off. Won't be paid off until April time so any big changes will be after then . I think the first thing will be to refurb the wheels as they are in bad condition, bubbling and paint has cracked in a few places. Then we'll have to wait and see xx

Thank you . New tyres for Osc arrived today as I didn't get the best of deals with my starlites....

Plans for the winter is to sort out some mechanical things . Four brands new tyres are been fitted this week. New clutch, new disc and brakes. Sort out gear linkage and gear box oil leak. Also looking for a smooth boot for him, if anyone has got one going.... . Not sure what else yet . Thanks for the congrats guys xxx
