Aye it was a ****in **** job tbh. He couldnt give me a code so i went for the 2008 RX8 Titanium Grey, slightly lighter but much nicer colour.
  2. That interior is ****ing awesome !
  3. Lower it ? Paint the wheels black/anthracite ? Window tints ? (Light smoke tints can go well with dark wheels) Wind Deflectors (Nice and cheap)

Front bumper was, it got turfed to ****, the bottom half of it was hanging on by a thread, so got a brand new OE GTi replacement. Tailgates still smoothed.

TBH it needs to come up a touch at the rear lol, just havent got around to it. I think camber shims would be tidy as well. It may be going the journey shortly, spent a lot on it so far so hoping thats not the case.

Thanks Yes it was, and yes it certainly did, didnt put me off though, paintwork was terrible, my painter done himself proud turning it around anyway.

Some may recognise this car. Bought it in May for my mrs. It needed a lot of work but i'd prefer something needing TLC over a minter. Had been resprayed previously but outside was a terrible job and the front bumper was ****ed. All the warning lights were on. So without any hesitation i got tore in about it, minor electrical faults say 2 of the 4 warning lights out, sent the ABS module off to Sinspeed and replaced the front sensors which cured the 3rd. Got it MOTd only needing new wipers and front droplinks. Replaced the battery, got a brand new front bumper. Put the car in for a full respray (Outside only, inside was fine) When we got the car back i noticed the tow covers were missing, hence why they are unpainted. Bought the wheels off a mate, Chrome powdercoated, New VW centres and fitted 175/50/15 Hankooks, and some big ass spacers all round. Cars running on AP coilies. Enough chat, heres the end result (Pictures show it without the front spacers fitted) How we got the car - Looks terrible # At the painters - Some afters -
  9. Done an alternator/charge check on it when i replaced the battery. Spent Saturday night with a couple of beers and my powerprobe checking things over. Cleaned up some connections, replaces a couple of fuses that had corrosion on the blades. Now have full access to the ABS computer, the handbrake/low fluid light no longer flashes and the EML went out also. So i just have to repair the wiring at the NSF sensor (Changed the sensor with a spare for peace of mind) Left the battery connected and left the car in work overnight and it started 1st turn. Still not 100% convinced how it'd be after sitting a few days out of use Considering removing the 'Sigma' alarm to rule that out as well.
  10. So following from my last thread, my mrs' Lupo GTI has multiple warning lights on. Started with ABS as it needs to be out for its MOT, got the old P1649 code, so sent the unit off to be reconditioned, unit returns, fault still current and battery drained again (Was draining prior to this but hadnt drained during the period the computer was absent) EML is on for CTS, and Airbag for seat wiring. I have access to a Bosch Diagnostic, and occasionaly a VW dealer one. I've got a wiring fault on the case here, just looking to see if anyones been in a similar situation before and could point me to some possibilities to save me some time. Cheers.
  11. No worries, sometimes hard to interprit a post on a forum/my post wasnt to specific into the fault. All help appreciated, sent it off to Sinspeed on Friday hopefully be back in time for the car getting out the bodyshop.
  12. Should also add it gives P1649 code ABS Module on general scan, just cannot access the module itself. Hence my conclusion of the module being faulty.
  13. Using Bosch KTS200 so not exactly a cheapo. Have used it on all my prior VAG cars.
  14. Hi all. Just got my mrs a Lupo GTi, ABS lights on and is unacessable by any form of diagnostic. Wheres the best place to get the module reconditioned? MOT is due in a few days lol. Cheers
