  1. Stunning Lupo GTI Low Mileage!

Hello, this advert is for the regrettable sale of my Lupo Gti, it's done just below 64000 miles, the car is a great running and very reliable, starts everytime. No knocks or bangs. I have full service history as well as records of all jobs carried out. There is a big specification of subtle extras that have been added to the car.
    Recent: Cam Belt and tensioners
    Cambelt done - 56738
    Next belt due - 120214
Full service (air, oil, fuel, gearbox oil, plugs
    Brakes checked and greased
    Handbrake adjusted
New tyres x4 (1000 miles old)
New number plates as had to remove my private registration and lost old plates.
Interior extras - Audi TT knee bars
    Audi TT stainless footrest
    4x FLI speakers
JVC double din stereo with wiring into boot ready for sub, Bluetooth connectivity, USB into ashtray and movie compatible, either by usb or disk.
    Colour coded interior trim
    Exterior extras - Powerflow
Mid-box and scorpion centre exit stainless back-box. Not silly loud, however sounds good.
Xenon bulbs and white light bulbs all round.
    Painted engine cover
60mm lowered on springs so ride is still comfy and not hard as Coilovers. The car can still easily manage speed bumps.
    No mechanical engine modifications.
Lupo taillight a have been tinted to replicate cambridge rear lights (looks identical)
    resprayed to white (bodywork
On car is very good no obvious marks)
    MOT till - 16/03/15
    Tax till - 01/08/15
Please note. The car was a CAT D due to damage to the nearside (passenger) wing and door only.
The garage fitted a genuine Gti wing and door (before respraying White).
Selling only because I brought a
Bigger car which was necessary for work, I spend £1000s on this cara as it is a great fun little run about. I'd keep it however don't have space :(.
Any questions please feel free to ask.
    Thanks

  2. Hello

I have some standard lupo 14" alloys and want to strech some space savers on them  (may be a bit ridiculous)

I am just wondering if this is possible, theyre only the 5 spoke wheels (RESPRAYED, not the ones in photo)

    images.jpg

and the wheels are 5.5cm Wide from inner lip to inner lip.

Could I stretch some space savers on these? And if anyone has any photos of these stretched it'd be much appreciated

    Thanks

    James :swerve:

  3. Dont suppose these were the ones you wanted too fit... just the sizes and offset sound just like these what i wanted too fit but just too wide... here is a pic of one on my car and its still not even full jacked down and the arch just sat on top of the tyre

What wheels are they? I like em!!

  4. use polo speedo, I would swap whole loom and fusebox, chop when comes to doors as you dont need air system for central locking, if you already have central locking it will be harder to keep prob easier to retrofit a kit. The dash was always going to have to come out though, hence why I said your work as only begun. the rest is straight forward really you might have a few plugs to chop and slice

Thanks, really appreciate the help, now I know what i have to do Ill get on with it :)

    Thanks

  5. About the polo i've brought...

I had a look today and found this is going to be a right A*** of a job!

I have a 1.4 remember so every loom on the car is different, all plugs are different... The engine connections isn't a big problem since the loom is made for a 1.6 gti... BUT

The interior looms like speedo cluster, hazards, fuse box, all of this sort of stuff is going to be nearlly impossible to swap over!! And to make it worse I counted the ecu plugs on the lupo and there is a different number of pins! so they won't fit onto the 1.6 ecu anyway :surprised: so I may have to use polo ecu plug... I think its going to be a dashboard out joband wires cutting and chopping  honestly I can't see any other way around it!

Any help at all would be good, has anyone done it before and can tell me the best way to do it as I'm trying to avoid the nightmare job if there is an easier way...

    Help is appreciated

    Thanks

  6. The immobiliser allows the car to start then cuts out the spark to stop the engine. It also stores a fault code so get them read

Yes it was, I cannot tell weather it was within the key or within the ECU, but By bypassing the ecu immobiliser I cured the effect.

  7. Just taken ecu down to someone in Stoke on Trent, to a company known as Vagtronics and he has removed the immobiliser form the 1.0 ecu, I found him really helpful since he did it at 9:00pm whilst i waited and I can garentee no other company will do it there and then whilst you wait!

If anyone else is interested here's the phone

    number: 07973 412446

I will be definatley using this guy again for my next ecu and electronic problems, he is 100% recommended out of my book.

The car is now running perfect and a good job has been done, will definatley be using this company again.

    Thanks

  8. The immobiliser allows the car to start then cuts out the spark to stop the engine. It also stores a fault code so get them read

I have read the codes from the input port in the ash tray, where and how else can u get immoboliser codes read?

  9. Hello

I had a lupo 1.0 that ran absolutly perfect. I drove it to work one day and it was fine and then the airbag light turned on... I stopped and started it twice on the way to work in attempt to remove the light (and it didn't work) but ran fine. Then 10 minutes after getting to work I was asked to move my car, It would start up for a couple of seconds then stop running. I have tried coils, leads, plugs (All basic stuff). And code read to be coolant temp sensor, I changed it since I have a 1.4 with same coolant temp and still no luck... After clearing codes it ran fine for 10 mins then cut out again and has gone back to the inital problem of only running for a couple of seconds.

After that I tested the spark and found (specail tool) that it'd spark for a couple of seonds on start up (making it run) then cut off the spark all together...

Just wondering if anyone else has had problem and what other factors it may be, the car was running fine (no problems) at all until i came back to start it... The only thing thats changed is airbag light. This is a real pain and would really appreciate any help possible.

  10. Cool got a few on the go then!

Well a mk1 golf (nearlly finished) and white lupo, if ur lupo is on the deck you may not be able to get up drive so may have to park at bottom and walk since it takes me about 30 mins and a hell of a lot of hole filling to get my lupo up haha, it's only about a 10 sec walk

  11. yes polo and loop gti engine are working wise the same, run different ecu,s but both work, loop gti 123bhp, polo gti 125bhp, never looked into it but think its the ecu that make the difference but might be wrong on that one, but both have vvt and that will be his difference, its actuator is on the left hand side as you look into engine bay from front.

Thanks for your reply, im just on way to pick up a polo gti I have brought from Kent, it's got a gearbox gone but I have a spare :) so hopefully We'll have it running sweet in no time.

    Thank you, much appreciated information

  12. Hello (First picture upload, hope it works)

The lupo started out with standard rear seats but I decided to do something a little different :)

First with was get some MDF and have a play ...

    IMG_1122.jpg

After planning for HOURs my dad finally had an idea of half a 45 gallon drum and we ended up with this!

    IMG_1127.jpg

    Then it proceeded to....

    IMG_1211.jpg

And now we had to decided where everthing went so...

    IMG_1257.jpg

    IMG_1636.jpg

Now we knew we had something we fitted it up ready for paint...

    IMG_0585.jpg

First we had to remound and fill all the kit because the kid who had it previous had scraped it and wrecked it in my eyes :(

    IMG_1502.jpg

    IMG_1620.jpg

We did our own thing regardless of what other people thought weather it was DUB or not...

After weeks of stressing and arguing with my dad (he did most of it not going to lie) it started to come together...

    WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

There she is all finished :) I hope you liked the photos and I know it won't float some peoples boat but it just shows you how

a lot of hard work can pay off.

    Thanks for your time.

  13. Hello

this is my first post so go easy...

Im 17 and have brought a 1.4 16v lupo (fantasia green) with a 1.6 16v from a polo GTI engine in it.

Due to electronics the car is running like **** because I have had to run the

    1.4 throttle body

1.4 inlet manifold (only 10mm all round different)

    1.4 ECU

and a few other bits which dont really affect it.

The car runs really lumpy and very uneven. I have looked into decoding the ECU and getting all the parts in order to do the change over and with all the electronic jobs its over £1200!

I understand this is what ill have to do eventually but will I need the polo 1.6 16v wiring loom? As i was wondering if the 1.4 loom will fit directly onto the 1.6 ECU or is this different?

and also can you think of anything else that i'll need as I understand some people on here know a lot more about this than me....

    LAST THING

The 1.6 has a sensor on the top where the 1.4 didn't. I was wondering what it is?

I think its a cam sensor but I'm not 100% and would i need to connect it up or would the people decoding the ECU disable it?

    Thanks

    James

And i realise I may have not done it perfect and may have to do things differently thats why I'm asking...

    Here it is so far.
