  1. "type R or E"!!!!! Big difference there!!! Your system is only going to be as good as the Unit providing the sounds! How ever, 6x9's??? where would you put them??? A decent 3 - way door speaker if you want the cheaper option and i recomend a 10" in a nice litle custom box in the boot. JL or Alpine are really my only recomendations. Whatever ou put in the boot try not to mount it facing the bootlid. Trust me on this one.. side mount, facing up or reversed mount. I really would focus on the headunit at first though, decent laser and pref a digital processor on board. don't go with the one that lights up the mos colours or has a motorised toilet seat with it! Waste of time!
  2. If you've got the "E" model which i'm guessing you will have, all you can do is knock off some of the treble, say -3 to -4 and leave the bass on -/+ 0. The standard headunits are poo so it's all i can say do! I'll go as far to say even an ntry level pioneer unit would be better but the factory door speakers are'nt too bad i suppose!
  3. Any pendulum track will suffice as bass tones used are varied to say the least! Failling that, Seriously, Black Eyed Peas - Roots Manuva or The Roots especially as it's REAL instrument recordings andamazing production! Them Rainbows or Boston Acoustics. The Majority are 2 - 3 way so, unless you want to get tenitiss (painfull ear condition from to much very very loud and persistent treble) i'd get them dash tweeters disconected!
  4. Being a Lupo and Sub Whore, I've found that a 10" really is the way to go. I've gone From a single 10 to 2 x 8's to sinngle 12 and now back to a reverse mounted Twin voicecoil sub in ported box! Looks the Nutts, Easy build once dimensions are worked out and so crisp and loud if thats your bag, aslong as you don't buy tat! True, True Ow and try not to have it firing at your boot lid..... Trust me, make a world of difference!
  5. Silver is on it with the Spacers! From my DIYin on my 51 plate LUPO i found a nice thin trim tool and a couple of crossheads seem to do the trick just fine! If your just doing the doors it ultimatly depends on how your system will progress/end up/is! For an all round FULL RANGE Quality JL or Boston Acoustics would go very nicley. Abit on the pricey side but you buy cheap you will always end up buying twice! A decent Bass heavy couple are Alpine Type R and S range, i wouldnt bother with anything lower in the range. Sorry, abit of a rave... Please continue
  6. Sounder than the preverbial pound, I shall be doing that 1st thing in the am... Errrrm when i wake up! Cheers, Sam
  7. Ladie and gents, The rubbing strips on my lupo. U know the hideous black creations.... Are they just stuck on with a trim glue or are there holes for them to clip onto aswell?.... Novice qustion but had to ask..... Cheers, Sam
