  1. Unplugged the abs sensor yesterday, The end of the sensor is smashed to bits. I now have another problem, because I'm an idiot I forgot to measure the one standard bolt that was left in the wheel. Does anyone know the length of the standard bolts? As these are now on show gonna get some nice looking ones instead of rusty crappy ones. Help?

  2. Yeah when i was putting shims on mine i forgot to stick the plug back in and the light came on.

Did you get the abs intruding when you did this? the abs intrusion is making it difficult to drive, as the stopping distance in significantly increased in its current state. It only does short journeys so no abs for a couple of days will be fine.

  3. Is it possible it has been knocked out of place? or would you expect it be properly broken? For a temporary measure untill replacement arrives, what consequences would removing/unplugging the sensor have? I expect just the same as it is now?

  4. Haha, we had to swap the replacement bolt with a shorter bolt as it was making a grinding noise. Thats determines its the drivers side front wheel. God you are helpful.

If I ever vote, tbh everyone seems quite psycotic about it... youve got mine.. (if your right) :P

  5. Thanks guys, this is massivley helpful. If this helps determine anything, it only started today, after the lads at local tyre place sheered the locking wheel bolt key and had to get creative... with an old socket....and a hammer. It may be that the sensor has been knocked out of place or detatched completley? Either way it seems it definatley a sensor issue.

  6. The abs appears to be kicking back everytime the brakes are applied, although the abs light doesn't come on, I dont know of anything else that would make the brake pedal kick back. It makes a horrific metal on metal grinding sound too. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

  7. Been a while since Ive been on here, been concentrating on my car for a bit :P So the lupo is currently on Rota gt3's which look pretty awesome! Only bad new is that the abs appears to be kicking back everytime the brakes are applied, although the abs light doesn't come on, I dont know of anything else that would make the brake pedal kick back.
