he onl I do love your bluntness Koop, he's right, the only way you could lower it without affecting insurance is to use the arosa sport springs and I think they're only 15mm lower... just whack coilovers on and switch your insurance company.

Blanked off grill, partly blanked off lower grill, aero wipers and arms, mudflap delete on the front, higher tyre pressure, weight reduction in the car, using shell fuel and basically driving like a grandad! lol

I have done several aero modifications, and I have physically worked out the mpg.

I've refitted it now

Couple of little changes made today, Gti aero wiper arm and wiper, smaller passat rear badge, new stereo and sub and cubby holder for the dash to fill the hole left by taking out my beta stereo and 6cd changer. Pics tell a thousand words so:

That's pretty good, on my last tank I averaged 52 mpg, going for 60 mpg with my next tank

I've switched from Morrisons fuel to shell v power, mpg has gone up by 5, feels more lively too.

350 miles to a tank, no motorway driving! All town driving .

I like that, bet it's fairly nippy! I've done 310 miles and the fuel light has just come on, all town driving, quite pleased with it!
