About 4 bottles later of stonechip we have the sills stonechipped and then underneath aswell! Just some paint to order now for a bit of blue underneath and clearcoat and we're on the home straight for finishing underneath. Thank ****!

Bit more work on the sills last few days! Mate came out to repair the hooring dent, then mask and primed this morning! Ready for a rub down and good blast o stonechip!

Since I don't have the booth anymore, had to hang some car sheeting to contain 90% of the grit. Should have done this to begin with got 1 of 2 sills blasted and then etched to protect it for just now! shall get the other done too, then pull dents out and repair followed by primer! Some fresh brake lines made up by my mate tooAnd a before/after albeit different jacking points but you get the jist!

Few more parts back from powder coating too!

Finally, Photobucket decides to work again.Bought a new sandblasting machine/new grinder and a face mask and set to work on these sills/the floor! Sandblasting underneath was going good untilI ran out of grit...so more on the way. Most of the paint/stonechip is off the sills then they'll be ready for sandblasting and repairing the dents etc!

Wasn't planning this til Monday but myself, dad and my mate got it sorted out on the spit this morning! Very glas I bought it now!

Once the car is on the spit, silks will be back to bare metal too!

Finally got most of the big stripping and priming done! Just the fuel tank/lines and brake lines to get off underneath, empty the car of all the **** then get it on the spit! also thinking of going down the polycarbonate window route! Can get all windows (ex windscreen) in 4mm polycarbonate for £170 with back 3 having a bronze tint! Thought they would be a lot more but st that price, definitely considering them! And picked up 4 Nankang semi slicks for cheapness! Will certainly do for this summer! (I'm hoping it's ready for then lol)

Couple days off in between jobs so cracking on with more paint stripping and priming. Bit of filler on the bacon arch and ready for priming first thing tomorrow! Hopefully get the ecu back this weekend and I'm praying the engine runs as it should! soon see!

Slow progress as of late, was a slack hoor over the festive period and been flat out in the new job with overtime since being back from the new year but.... back to the car again!Bought Andy's spit off him that he used for his mk2, and set about modifying it with the help of the al man! Got the front done, just the back to do! and started some more paint stripping on the roof!

Well a bare metal respray itself wouldn't be cheap, up where I work , minimum 4-5k! Plus all the arch work and stone chipping would add a few more hundred!

Bit more sandblasting done on the rear arches, followed by primer/sealing then stonechip! Ended up just doing the whole back panel aswell!

5speed box is on along with clutch/flywheel so now engine is ready for alignment in the bay. Wiring is nearing completion. Sandblasted a couple bits on the inside of a door since there getting painted inside and out! Rear window removed too! Hopefully with finishing up for hols next Friday, I can crack on a fair bit more!

Em, before Christmas ideally! Cluster should be wired up this weekend so I just need to pull my finger out and get this ECU sent away!

Also have the engine running briefly! So just the instrument cluster to wire up and ECU to send away to get immo removed then were on the home straight wiring wise!!

Treated my self to a new stonechip gun and loaded up with the sandblast grit! Blasted the wee parts where wings meet sills as they were badly corroded,followed by primer then stonechip! Opted for a dark side developments lightened g60 flywheel (7kg) and a vr6 clutch. So that will be getting fitted with a 5 speed box this weekend. (Can only run 5speed as 6's are too big)

Posted Today, 06:30 PM Will have a fair route once the arms are built back up with new bushes/balljoints!! Just a shame they still can't send out the appropriate sized outer arb bushes even though I phoned them to try and avoid this. Recieved 18mm instead of 22....

Not much progress as of late, friend has been out working away at wiring when he can! Hopefully this weekend we might have the 1.8t kick into life! Awaiting arrival on spunky new powerflex 'black series' race bushes for front/back! Once they arrive, means I can get subframe/power steering rack back on for engine alignment along with the replacement 5 speed box!Made a start to th paint stripping too! Got the bonnet sorted out so I'll take it +wings into work for priming.

Yeh Pete I did realise this after being told lol and rich, I just cleaned up the standard got rack, never intended to swap it! Only get new tie rods/end but maybe not even get them now!

Rocked out of pps earlier with a major boner, I'll let's pics do the talking! Then tarted up the p/s rack with a clean down and some Matt black! New ball joints getting chucked on too!

Not much happening engine wise as my mates been busy so I've been cracking on bodywise. Buzzed the rear panel, bit of primer and stonechip on the lower half ready for some fresh colour. And hit the inside of the b/right arch to get rid of surface rust/factory sealer. Gina try and cut away as much as possible then weld it up and reseal/stonechip! Going a bit ott now but I'm now wanting to buff the sills back to bare metal to take care of any lurking rust! (Whole car may be getting treated to a bare metal respray lol) Shockers come from kw a purple/pink but may have gone too pink...
