  1. Was Over at Paul's again tonight! He's Nearly finished the exhaust system , didn't grab a photo but was looking ace! And couple packages turned up today
  2. Yeh just recently went self employed and doing me a mad deal on all this fab work!
  3. Quick google of this term relieved me of my confusion but yes my pal is shithot at fab work
  4. And some more fabrication goodness!
  5. On my 1.8t conversion, my pal just re-pinned gti wires into 1.8t ecu - no need for removing interior looms nor splicing! 80% of the wires matched up anyway from 1.8t to Lupo which was handy!
  6. Fab guy has Been cracking on! Boost pipes sorted out! Awaiting a sports cat to be delivered then I'll get it over to him along with a door and seat - as door bars are getting welded in now
  7. Cars finally off for fabrication work and smooth spoiler ready for sending off for carbon skinning
  8. http://www.acwmotorsportplastics.co.uk/volkswagen-lupo-full-lexan-polycarbonate-window-kit.html
  9. Designing and fabricating a custom diffuser
  10. If the bumper wasn't cut up, would have definitely kept the line but I thought it looked **** only having the line at the sides
  11. Couple more bits worked on this weekend! Cut off bottom section on bumper and smoothed the swedge line over! Going to design and fab up a rear diffuser to suit! and boy fae work smoothed over spoiler also which I'm toyling with the idea of getting carbon skinned! Got a reasonable quote for this by a boy fae down south!
  12. Appreciate the help rich but my pals just going to shorten manifold, plus it would mean having to get the IC pipe from p/s back over to d/s to the inlet!
  13. got the shafts back last Friday, hurt the pocket a bit but at least there done! Beefed up aswell so they should last! They got a quick sand blast on Saturday morning then fired into work and coated them up along with with the cv joints he also blasted! Fingers crossed the car should be going away this weekend for all the welding/fabrication work!
  14. Shafts are off for modyfing so should have them back sooon. Also got the 100 mm gearbox cups fitted! And started cutting away at the back of the bumper to try and free up some space for the intercooler! Will be tight as a nuns fanny though. glad I got the windscreen removed too as there was some slight rusting under the bonding at then bottom of the A- pillar so can get that buffed back and primed! Most panels are down at work now, masked and ready to go. Just bumpers to prep and then all thats left to rub down is 1/4s and roof!
  15. Bit of painting happened in the engine bay and then friend swapped over manifolds/turbo to ko4 setup last night. However have a slight issue with inlet manifold sticking out too far so can't fit throttle body... looking into cutting and shortening manifold to suit but need to speak to welder about this and see if it's feasible! 100mm gearbox cups on there way too and Just the n/s to shorten then car can go off for a while to get IC piping made up/ cage welded in and rear section of exhaust made up!
  16. finally got the engine mounts fabricated and had the engine bolted into place. Got the mounts back from powdercoating and a new power flex bush for the lower gearbox mount. Ecu is also back and immo off so fingers crossed the engine runs!
  17. New bearings and circlips for front hubs and new rear bumpstops and dust covers from kw! Abs rings and front flanges also got treated to a freshen up! Just rear bearings and abs sensors to fork out for now... great haha
  18. got the car off the spit again and started fitting up a few bits and bobs! Rear beam/subframe and arms all on along with a wee test fit of the custom 3" turbo back. Will need hangers adjusted but minimal work! Should have the front hubs away for powder coating soon and the springs for pps to redo as they did them a different yellow from arb's. And awaiting some HEL braided brake hoses!
  19. Thanks guys! Appreciate the comments! Yeh I'm literally throwing all my money at this so a bit skint at the end of most months haha most thankful for the garage space due to dad tho!
  20. Made this photo as a before and after and Safe to say The graft was certainly worth it! Very chuffed! Made a start with this rear beam. Removing excess powder coating,(noted from Bobby!) they do farely coat up the parts with paint! Still need to sort out snapped abs sensor bolts in the stub axles! Arsed!! Then me being a fussy fanny realised the yellow on the springs is a different yellow to the ARB's and not happy with the shockers so another few bits away getting blasted/coated! And just a wee bit of heat to get the front eye bolts on the ARB
  21. Tidied up some overspray this morning in the front arches and the first gloss black piece in place on the rear.. albeit just a exhaust hanger
