  1. ill have a look and in want real bbs don't really want the fake ones just look cheap wad thinking getting rotis though?

rotis s**t how much money you saving lol

  2. have a look through readers rides and see if you can find some inspiration, but if you do go for bbs don't buy the cheap fakes and try and pull them off as genuine, if you need anywhere to look go wheel-whores.com, ebay, theres also a page on facebook that sell and swap wheels or even the classified ads on here. but its all down to your self at the end of the day with choosing which wheels you want :)

  3. Hey fella

I didn't want to go for coil-overs as I've read on here that they don't ride as well as springs. The other thing is coil-overs are a lot more expensive. What I'm looking are springs that give me a fixed drop of 60mm, so not a big drop, but it will sharpen up the handling.

that's fair enough, not all coilover ride horrible depends how much your willing to send really

  4. I was planning on buying the pro car kit from the us, £250, including gun and a lot of paint. I watched their 20 minute video and it seems relatively easy without rushing.

I decided not to buy and do it due to a very good point my friend made.. It can just be peeled off, so I didn't want to spend money on something that the local chav can ruin:( shame really

Thanks for the info, I may buy a smaller kit and do some wheels in the future

im sure local chavs wouldn't even realise it could be peeled off tbh

  5. sharpelupo do they need anything other than the 'normal' key to program it?

they just took my key and used that to programme the spare key and also cut the spare key, they don't take any money till its been tested in you car and if it dosnt work they get it sorted

  6. Is it a tough job to get an extra 25bhp from the sport? I'm guessing map, decent exhaust system, cams, ect would do it, then you're getting all the poke from a gti but for a lot less?

    Thanks for the advice

the 1.4 sports come in two variants 75bhp version and the 100bhp version (centre exit exhaust) so didn't have to get the extra 25 bhp was already there on tap :D

  7. The 1.4 sport was my first idea, then I got told they aren't great on fuel, and you can get the same if not more power from the tdi mapped, and have better fuel consumption:/ genuinely stuck..

I'd love a gti, it just seems a lot of money for a 1.6 and its quite hard to find a low mileage without spending 4 grand plus..

my 1.4 was the 100bhp one and it was pretty good on fuel and had the poke to keep up with 1.6s, yeah the gti is an expensive option but its a good investment in my eyes

  8. You do realise that you are supposed to park between the lines in a carpark not centre yourself on "a line"?

    Nice GTI. Enjoy!

yeah but working at a supermarket I really don't want people that just swing open there car doors open and dent up my side, the space that im parked into isn't actually a space its a corner, but thanks im loving her cant get enough well worth the money :)

  9. been here for a while now, did have a 1.4 16v sport ( http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?/topic/88148-lupo-14-16v-100bhp/ ) but I decided that after having it for a year that I would upgrade to a GTI as I love how they look and feel, once id decided that I was gona get a GTI, I had to find one with the right mileage and service history ( at the right price of course ) I came across a raven blue GTI in amazing condition full service history, 82k, and the right price.

had to drive up from the isle of Wight to south wales in my 1.4, it wasn't all smooth sailing heading up there, had a blow out in the fast lane as I got into wales my rear tyres were stretch and managed to start to separate the tread from the side wall that was scary, this is how it looked at the side of the motor way:

luckily got it sorted and a new tyre and made It to buy the GTI, had to get a picture of the pair of my cars at the services tho:

the GTI was already lowerd when I got her, had a couple of marks on the paintwork but was soon sorted, not planning to really do much more want to keep it looking as it is clean and OEM

well that's the storey of how I got the car might do the odd thing to it, have know put the red piping round the grill which brings it out nicely, now here are all the pictures iv been taking there a mix of my Nikon d3200 and just off my iphone, hope you all like it :)
