  1. right... apparently it hasn't chewed up the second shaft, its pushing the drive shaft through the joint housing of the gearbox. there is a gap behind the flange where it is attached to the gearbox, its allowing the driveshaft to push through into the gap and lose drive. is this a fault with the new shaft or is this a common thing, because i don't understand, am I making sense?? argh!

  2. Hey all,

    Just wondering if anyone had any experiences with dicky driveshafts from VW for a Lupo GTi '03

    I spent £489 on a offside driveshaft on friday, had it fitted on saturday, by saturday night it had chewed it up.

    Can anyone help, as I'm not too sure whats happening with it? It was a brand new genuine part.

    The car is very low and stiff, would that have any ill effects on the driveshaft?

    Cheers

  3. ... I'm new to the forum, I'm currently in the process of buying one of these be-loved machines.

    I just need a few pointers and a little guidance please!

    What are the little/main things that I have to look out for when I'm buying a lupo gti?

    I have got one in mind that I am very serious about, its currently up on ebay and on the trader. Link is as follows;

    http://www.ebay.co.u...8#ht_1046wt_966

    and on trader its the most expensive one, nation wide.

    I know enough about cars to get me by but... Is this car worth it, would I be wasting my money, are there better alternatives?

    Help me please!!!

    Much love :)
