  1. The sides of the harnesses were attached to the seat base and the backs were bolted into the thread underneath the rear seats. The screw pattern is the same as the rear bolt that holds the seatbelts in place and also MK2 Golfs. Think it's M14 off the top of my head.

But and this is a big but... If you're fitting buckets with harnesses, be warned you will be strapped in and won't be able to move. I.e can't reach the heater, can't look forward at junctions etc etc. great for the tracks and B roads but a pain in the **** on the road!! That's why I sold them after 3days of having them in!

Ah fair enough! Might be a plan if I ever retire the Lupo as a playtoy rather than a daily then! Cheers!

  2. Based on the fact it's a low mileage gti i'd go air, sensible driving height and silly low parked height, best of both worlds! Almost regret putting hydro's on my 1.0 since it's on nearly 90k now but it's still good fun!

  3. You'll be fine at standard height, but you'll struggle to get properly low on 195/50/15's (unless my lupo was just a strange one) i had to fit 165/50/15 tyres and that still didnt stop it scrubbing completely

  4. I have the et20 on my Lupo and had to have my arches rolled and stretched tyres to stop the scrubbing, but i was fairly low at the time, sensible height and you may get away with just rolled arches and a bit of camber
