The definitive Gearbox thread

Hi, We have a Lupo 1.4s 2000 with a gearbox that is on the way out. It is an "ETD" gearbox for which I think the VW part no. is 085300053, I have been offered a box with the part no. 085301107. Are they compatible? Regards, Chris
