  1. No-one? Oh, well - I guess this afternoon she will have to go to the Seat Garage. They want £52 just to look at her and where I'm going to get THAT from, I have no idea. I'm so depressed about this, I could cry, but I guess that's what you get when you buy an 11 year old car.
  2. Too late - guess I'll have to pay Mr Airbag to come out and reset the bl**dy thing.
  3. It is really weird that the horn will go "meep" right up until the point where you tighten up the horn cover (three screws on the back of the steering wheel unit). There doesn't seem to be anything to "catch" or get pulled out. Rats! And of course, even if we manage to get the horn to work, the airbag light is now on and will have to be reset! Thanks anyway, Scotty........anyone else got any ideas?
  4. Hi, I have a 2000 X reg Seat Arosa 1.4Tdi. Bought her with redundancy money back in January this year (2nd Arosa I've owned). I love her to bits but she has just failed her MOT because the horn wouldn't work. My husband checked the fuses, checked the horn itself and finally took off the steering wheel. Cleaned the slip ring on the back of the wheel boss, cleaned the contactors on the underside of the horn cover, reconnected everything and the horn beeped quite satisfactorily.........until he started to tighten everything back up again!!! Now she refuses to beep at all. Because both of us were made redundant at the same time and are still unemployed, I really can't afford to take her to the Seat dealership and I can't believe that there isn't a simple fix for this. Please, please can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks
  5. Does anyone know if the eBay VAGCOM that you have been discussing will reset the airbag warning light? I am having difficulty with the horn and need to take the steering wheel off - this obviously upsets my Arosa and causes her to turn on her airbag light!
  6. Hi, just introducing myself! I have a 2000 registered Seat Arosa 1.4Tdi which I adore (second one that I have owned and a real pocket rocket!). Looking forward to "meeting" you all!
