  1. I know all this gear is cheap, but i cant even afford all of this at once, but id like some advice/constructive critiscm on these. I would just like to know if this Amp would run this Sub ok, and if anyone has had any experiance of either product? Would be running of a alpine headunit with jus a single pre-out, but i would hope to amp up some components when i could afford to. Would it be better saving for a better headunit first with 2 pre-outs or building a system from what ive mentioned? Thanks in advance folks!
  2. Loving it too bits! as soon as everythings sorted (jus a gud tidy n wash really) ill psot some pics! The only thing i dont like is this green card in my wallet! Needs to be pink! So taking it out every chance i get wid anyone who'll sit in with me really! Got the rubstrips off and goin to sort ouot a cd-player this week (alpine i think) as the one that was in the car was a kenwood from back in the day - apparently my mam bought her fist car with the same radio in, and that was a MkII Astra!
  3. Thanks Again Silver! Just looked at all the guys items for sale? Think hes braking a 924/944?
  4. Cheers silver! The polo ones look good, fiver with 26 hours left..... think theyll go up slightly yet tho style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> but ill keep an eye on them, anyone any ideas on cost of posting 4 steelies and tyres from Welwyn to cumbria, or anywhere i can get a quote?
  5. Those steelies do look absolutely mint, but at 140 quid, plus tyres, ill be better of just paying the extra insurance! I shopped around for insurance for about a fortnight, looking on thw web and on the fone, and nobody else would come below 1600 quid-ish, and barclays charged 1330 so i was over the moon really! but with nothing much left, looks like ill be keeping the car runnning and learning to drive, so nothing much is gona change with the car! Athough the bumpstrips are off!
  6. Didnt think of it like that! Been making 16 quid go along way though in the last couple of days! Been saving since I left school, and then blow 2 years worth of saving down in a week, dosent really feel good! But suppose i best get use to it, not gona stop spending on the car now, love it too bits, and iv only been driving it 2 days on l-plates! belive me, the smiles havent stopped! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  7. Yes, sounds good, if getting a good finish is going to be easy enough, looks like something that will be hard to put right if you get it wrong! But its definetaly going to be considered, thanks tigz
  8. Cheers Tigz. Taking apart doesnt really seem too bad, its putting a new one in, especially after seeing your pics tigz, that scares the crap out of me, i cant stand wires! Have to consult some friends that may help, otherwise its just retrimming the top of the dash. Ill post some pics in the moring of the dash and see what folks think!
  9. Can anyone tell me how hard this is? As there airbags have gone off in the car ive bought, the panel on the passengers side of the car which burst when the air bags are activated has simply been glued back in place, but not the neatest of jobs. After doing a bit of searching round ive found a second-hand dash at a price im willing to pay, so before I bought it thought id ask how hard it was? Thanks, Andrew
  10. When ringing round insurance the first thing they ask when i mention alloys is 'are they VW alloys' so thought, as all calls are recorded, i could say yes they are whilst muttering under my breath 'vw, but not standard'
  11. Thanks tigz, thought as much, but couldnt find any pics to prove it, seems the scrappys gona get a visit
  12. Does anyone know if lupo, and polo wheels can be swapped? Thing is, i want standard wheels (not out of choice but for insurance) and my mate has a 05 pre facelift polo and wants aftermarket ones?
  13. Didnt collect it, Lee brought it over from consett to cumbria, think he was desperate for the money to pick up his pug! Certainly is a nice car, the only thing i dont like is where the airbags have gone off, and the passengers side dash is glued and looks untidy, unfortunately VW are chaging 410 notes +VAT for a complete new dash, have to see how much an arosa dash is! Other than that theres a tiny knock on the air pillar where the wings been pushed back in the accident, and the centre of the steering wheel is lose, but unless you were looking for them, you woullnt notice! Unfortunatly, looks like the wheels will be going, and reverting back to either standard alloys or steelies! Being male, 17, and only having a provisional, insurance companys are taking me from behind with a large pole, so modding its just extracting the micheal! An increse from 1300 to 1900 when I mentioned alloys!
  14. Hiya all, Been wathcing here for quite a while now, and now ive got round to getting a car, and its all down to this forum! Im the new owner of Pimpy's 1.4s Fantasia Green Lupo This one! So as i said, im a wanabee no more, jus need a nice pink license, should be around easter all going well and ill have the freedom of my newly aquired loop! Car needs a wash, and its slightly (read pitch black) outside, so ill post some new pics in its new residence when its spick and span! (any admin that can delete a profile, Jus a wanabee can go, sorry about this, but i didnt feel apt for a owner!) Andrew
