park it facing a wall at night and have a play, pick a line on the wall and work to it. i adjusted mine with the adjuster inside the car on 2 so that on empty country roads i have like a boost

Put a pic up when you get chance mate, and yeah just buy some off ebat or go to halfords and a little brush and a nice day mine are electric blue at the moment, looks good with the anthracite grey alloys

hi all,
first update for a while, first thing is the front bumper. first thing i did was fitted my new fog lights haha, bought the lights from eBay and the apertures courtesy of dale
was going to put a oem headlight switch with the fog switch in but could not find the loom for the lights soo i just put an aftermarket switch in and took the feed from the heated rear window switch
then iv did what iv been wanting to do since i bought the car, color coding the lower valance, IMO it looks soooo much better and everybody keep asking me if iv put a new bumper on and saying it look more sporty
before
masked off
primer
final coat
finished
finally the smallest upgrade, my new gear gaiter, once again an eBay purchase, black leather with bright blue stitching
thanks for looking, any comments welcome

iv got some, iv had the single LED ones and they were good but the light was abit dim, so i bought some of these and there really good, nice and bright i think anyways. just have a look around on ebay and see what looks good
remember they have to fit a certain way otherwise they wont work

hi all,
had a look at replacing my knackered door hinges today. has anyone done this? the bottom hinges look easy, but how the hell are you supposed to get the bolt that is on the inside of the car out on the top hinge?
i took bolts out of the lower dash but then behind that is no access to the bolt at all.
any help much appreciated as my drivers door is on the verge of falling off

triple wax shampoo may leave a good deep shine, but the key to keeping that shine is the wax you apply. triple wax shampoo is abit strong and acidic so it tends to strip the wax off. so your forever going wrong in circles
-
heater resistor. common fault. burns out eventually to leave just setting 4 working.
hope this helps
-
oh and almost forgot.
if you struggle with wheels and cleaning that stubborn brake dust and other general grime off, buy some bilberry juice wheel cleaner. miracle in a bottle hahah
-
that sounds like you have got the basics. but id get rid of the triple wax shampoo and use something like Meguires gold class or Auto Glym shampoo... just something that is not too acidic and strips the wax off. make sure you stick to the recommendation on the back, if you put too much in it will also strip the wax layer off.
id probably stop using halfords products as there abit cheap and cheerful. i use a range of Meguires, Auto Glym and Poorboys. look at some guides on detailing world and on here to get some idea on some products. also meguires have some really useful videos on there website.
i use Dodo juice wax. the small panel pot. its a hard wax that lasts quite a while on the car providing you look after it. once again, check out some of the guides.
after mastering the basics you could start getting more into it by using other products like clay bar and tire dressing, also cleaning the windows with a high quality MF.
as far as snow foam goes, i don't use it. i know people that do and they swear by it. but its only needed every month or so seeing as a simple wash every week keeps the paintwork nice and clean to stop any serious build up. but i seriously advise that if you do invest in one, buy a good quality lance as the cheapos are rubbish and break
i hope this helps you abit. if you want any other detailing advise you can pm me

doubled up thread of cotton and heat, then a ruler/card wrapped in a cloth. then some white spirit? tar remover on the arosa IMO it looks soooo much better on the back as the writing isnt the best looking haha

hi all,
bought a heater resistor the other day and fitted it. it lasted 2 days and then went back to just setting 4 again. so i messaged the shop i bought it off and they say that if the resistor burns out that quick then the motor is on its way out and is stiff. they say they will do a second hand motor and a resistor in a package.
what does everybody think? is it worth changing the motor? how easy is it to change it?
help much appreciated

thankyou for those pics, im going to have another look soon and see if i can find it. thanks for all your help iv put the lights in but just not wired them up haha
-
thanks, i will have another look for it and if that fails i will probs just start looking into the single switch method
-
thanks for your reply i thought so as the rear fog is a light on the switch. and i thought that the loom would probably be the same, i did have a good look for the connector the other day, no joy unfortunately. i took the black plastic cover from the drivers foot well and then pulled the white tray thing down, but i could not find any connectors anywhere. even took the headlight switch and heater vent out to see if it was up there. going to have to have another look
-
would something like this work?
also does the symbol on the switch light up or is it a light on the dash?
