I am having a problem with my lupo...again... the door has always been a bit stiff and makes a cluncking noise but today im struggling to shut it its completly stiff, its like trying to push a brick wall, i dont no if the door has drop or if there is something simple i can fix. has anyone had this trouble and how do i fix it. thanks vw lupo 2001

I am so gutted i paid out £250 for a new clutch and they tried to charge me £80 for the clutch cable to be changed(with me having the part) when it wasnt that. but it was probably the bracket in the first place..... can any garages be trusted....

Does anyone know where i can get a haynes manual for the lupo, ive looked everywhere online and just cant find one. The clutch pedal bracket ( believe thats what it is called), has snapped of, but i cant see how to get to it to welled it back on. I just took it to a garage said my clutch had gone to i paid for a new one but im thinking they just didnt look at my car properly and whent for the 1st option and it was the pedal the problem in the first place!

I took my car the the garage and they said its the clutch. Cost £250 to fix. last Friday my clutch completely dropped and i couldn't move my car. Phoned the garage, guy came up said it was the clutch cable £80(with me having the part)...wrong my brother went to change it, the clutch bracket had snapped!...was my clutch ever broke?..i dont know..

sounds like it could be that, thanks for all your help:) i'll have to get it cheacked out and hope i dont get ripped of in a garage

gotta be honest im not sure what that is :s i dont no as much as i should about cars,

it does sometimes make a grinding noice, but the bite latly im finind even when im on the flat and my foots to the floor on the clutch it moves as soon as i take my foot of the break :S

with mine it dosnt seem to matter if its cold or not its stiff all the time, mainly in first and second, gets very imbarrising pulling out of roads and im stuck there because i cant put it into first:(

when the engin is of and im not pressing on the clutch it goes through the gears no problem, same as engin of with clutch. As soon as the engin comes on it is realy stiff to change gear.

It seems to be all the time :s

Hello. I have a VW Lupo 1litre 2001, I am haveing problems chaging gears they seem to be extreamly stiff expecialy first and second gear. Im not sure if it needs gear oil changing or a problem with the clutch.. I know basic things about the car but i dont no where i would even put gear oil.. does anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it? thanks jodie
