  1. OK, don't really need a reply now, as the wife bumped the car this morning Not a huge amount of damage, but I suspect it may still end up being a write off. Anyway, because of that I swapped the aftermarket stereo out and replaced it with the OEM radio cassette unit and CD player unit, and the locking appears to be working again! Strange, as we fitted the radio about 6 months ago, and it's worked fine until now, so I'm just wondering if it's coincidence?
  2. The Arosa has developed a fault over the last week or so. With both doors shut, as soon as the doors are locked via the central locking (either using the interior central locking button next to the light switches, or just with the key), the passenger door locks and then immediately unlocks again. The only way to lock the passenger door for now is to open it and press the button down and shut the door, after using the central locking to lock the rest of the car. Unlocking works fine using the central locking, no problem at all. Any suggestions as to what this could be? And, more importantly, how to fix it! Thanks
  3. We've just bought a Mk2 Arosa for my wife. It's currently got the standard radio cassette player plus a single CD player beneath it. I've just noticed this evening that, after everything is switched off and the car locked up, the red lights behind the buttons on the radio stay illuminated - is that normal? Doesn't seem right to me. Nothing else is illuminated, just the radio cassette (even the CD player beneath it isn't illuminated). Also, what does the big button with 'SEAT' (above the on/off/volume knob) on it do? The manual says something about it popping out a removable control panel, but all it appears to do is turn the radio off! Any help? Thanks
  4. Hello! Just joined, as we've just bought a Mk2 Arosa 1.0 S for my wife. I know one member from here already (Hi Nic!), but for those who don't know me, I'm also one of the admin team on vagowners.co.uk, and have been driving VAG's of some sort since 2004. My current daily is an Audi A3 S-Line, and I've also got a Land Rover as a weekend toy, and a Yamaha Fazer FZ6 (another toy). Not sure if my wife will ever join, but as I'm sure I'll end up looking after the car anyway, I thought I'd better join up!
