when is the best time to go to england 2012? , looking for a vw event with a nice 1/4 mile track
go to santa pods website... they have the events up on there... but 2012 events will probably be added in the beginning of next year...

i think £20 is quite cheap tbf.... and it'll fit the lupo tdi..
-
just a quick one guys..... i'm going to change it to £20... i just looked at the price brand new and they're like £30 quid lol i got this with the car so i didn't bother looking up the price.. and £30 quid sounded right to me but either way i'm not too fussed... £20 it is.. lol
-
based in milton keynes...
-
yer it fouled the water coolant tank but their was a bracket supplied to counteract that problem so that will be included aswell...
-
as far as i know the lupo and arosa chassis is the same (please don't quote me on it), so i'm thinking the strut tops are an equal length from one side to the other...
i'm pretty sure it'll fit... i just looked at an arosa engine bay and it looks no different to a lupo's engine bay...
-
i'll get an individual one in a min...
-
hi everyone!
got a lupo front strut brace if any ones interested.... want £30 quid for it... i don't need it as i've gone bias pedal box and the reservoirs are fouling the strut brace
-
Ahhh that makes sense. I see another CBS user, they are great! bought all sorts from them over time.
Im looking forward to getting the kit. It does look good, shame ive still got to build a garage before i can get the car over to fit it!
John
building a garage... blimey! big job... good luck with that... when fitting it just make sure you get the right measurements as you'll be making 1 hole lol
-
Looks good, I'm waiting for my pedal box at the moment. Same setup as yours.
Any reason why you used a brake pressure switch rather than a pedal switch?
sweet... you'll be happy when you get it... lol i used the brake pressure switch because there isn't a bracket to hold the original brake light switch... if you want to get one..
http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/product/Hydraulic_Stop_Light_Switch_M10x1_STSH
thats the link where i got mine.. the master cylinders are not metric like the car itself... so when you make brake pipes up.. the master cylinders won't be m10 they'll be the other fitment...
hope that helps...

75bhp petrol model IS NOT A SPORT!
ok then... the v5 says different.... but yer...
-
TDI, GTI and Sport do have same hubs confirmed!
sport 75 bhp is different.... well mine were...
-
Golf Mk1 hubs have different caliper spacing don't they?
yer.. mk1 has 76mm and the mk2 has 94mm..
-
that is a shocking car... well done to him for surviving that long...
-
the sport hubs must be different to the GTI ones then? did you buy them as a complete set? need to know if theres any difference between the g60 discs and the ones with the set.
i'm not sure on the sport and gti hubs but i just wanted to be on the safe side and not get them and they were wrong so i modifie my wishbones to take mk2 golf ball joints and the mk2 hubs fit right in... which also means the wilwood kit should fit... but i'm in the pipeline of sorting proper motorsport type wishbones atm so it makes life easier for other people too.
-
if its got a pungent smell of fuel then you must have no problem with fueling.... (most likely) but how sure are you about the spark on piston 4?
-
i've got wilwoods on mine but i had to modify my wishbone to get mk2 golf hubs on and use a mk2 kit...
-
you just have to get the injector rail out and get and empty tub.,... get someone to turn the engine on and watch the injectors spraying.... its not risky.. but just be careful doing it....
put it this way.. you have spark on that cylinder you say, so you might aswell check for fuel and eliminate small problems...
