  1. yes there is an l.e.d semi circle, like a sheet of plastic that lights up, rather than seperate bulbs
  2. cool, you guys know a lot about wheels, so would you guess these are 7's on the front and 8's on the back? or maybe 9's on the back?
  3. cheers, so they dont come in different offsets and width, there just one standard size? how much do these usually go for?
  4. These are the wheels i want for my GTi, im guessing they are 16's but could anyone tell me or give me a good guess as to the width and offest in order for them to sit in the arches like they do.... Also, what size tryes would be needed for them to be streched like that.... border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />
  5. right, i had my clocks out last nite and stripped them right back to how they are in the picture, i then used nail clippers to remove the soilder around the 4 connections, the white box then pulled away, all i have to do is soilder the new white box into place. trouble is, i got in touch with VW and they say that they ordered my new clocks in special delivery and that i have to pay the cost of them, £130, therefore i might aswell have the new ones, gutted.
  6. yeh if you could mate please, il pm u my address and paypal. Do the needles just pull away from the dial face?
  7. are they your clocks? do you think it would be possible, looking from the other side of the circuit borad to remove the white box for the speedo and replace it, im sure there are just two connections that need souldering, i could cut these, replace the box and soulder back together right? i would buy your clocks if u wer willing to sell but they would just need re coding anyway.
  8. my old man could probablly do it to be honest although theres a pin that goes from the back of the speedo needle into a cog in the white box and as soo as you pull it off, the pin will obviously come out and its hightly unlikely that i will be able to get it back in without opening then box, but thanks anyway for trying to help me, damn VW
  9. i noticed this too, although i phoned vw and they didnt have that part number on there system, and im no good at souldering, looks like im going to have to get new clocks after all, its booked in at VW on monday and the cost is guestimated by a friend that works there at £173 including the clocks, fitted and coded.
  10. yes i need the white bit, the one on its own on the left hand side as you looks at the back of the clocks, i accidentally opened it, which i now know that once opened it will not go back together, lol. The problem is that im sure it does not come away from the circuit board style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  11. yeh ,geting my TT as soon as the lupo is sold, although if it donst sell i will have to part ex it, in which case i wont get anywhere near what its worth style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Im 20 at the mo and insurance on the TT is almost half if i was 21.
  12. nope i didnt bend the rules, this was a year ago, just recently i have found that a lot of insurance companies have stamped down with age limits ect, tesco wont insure me on a TT untill im 25, so im having to go with budget, they came up top on moneysupermarket.com
  13. I had my GTi when i was 18, insured with Tesco on my own name fully comp for 1500, went down to 900 after the first year, am now 19, nearly 20 and am getting a TT. p.s i work for Tesco
  14. There are a set of polo clocks down my local scrapyard, they look the same but dont have the clock, does any1 know if they have the plug so i can just plug my clock in and put them into my surround?
  15. cheers mate, really appreciate it, especially if it saves me £200
