  1. I think its this one, but its private :S http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tp9ggefOjAE from hre http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=91562
  2. Just had a go.... With the engine running, clutch down all gears up and down engage fine & easy.... With my foot off the clutch, i tried to put it into 3rd with the intention of it going in and stalling... but it wont engage stationary either, which is weird as when driving from 2nd it goes in fine. The car just made a realease bearing type noise (its not the bearing), but wouldnt go in... as if 3rd isnt in the right place for the stick...
  3. Yep stationarys fine with the engine off... i know as i was trying it earlier... Im going to pop outside and see if it goes from 4th-3rd on idle, just to double check... When driving its fine from second into third, and then into fourth. Just 4th to 3rd... Il update you in sec once ive tried it idling.
  4. The reciept we have says; 'investigate cause of gear selector failure' 'cable snapped' gear selector cable & labour 2 hours@ £35ph With the total of £128.64 back in 04/2011... Il have to see if i can get some fluid tomorrow to try. Realistically, if i can get the gears stationary, would the selector cables be set up ok?
  5. My mrs has started having troubles with her 2002 red tdi lupo. The car will select all gears without the engine on 1.2.3.4.5. and back down fine 5.4.3.2.1. When its started up, its the same.... When driving she can select all the gears upwards ok, but coming back down from 4th to 3rd, the gearstick wont engage the gear, its like it hits a solid wall.. No crunching in or anything, just a solid block.. To get 3rd from 4th we have to go 4-2-3 to get it in... The lupo had replacment gear selector cables a while back as the old one had apparently snapped, so we were thinking it could possibly be this... But then again it does seem to select fine other than coming down from 4th to 3rd. The only other things i can think is oil, or sync in the box... But being a TDI the gearboxes are quite expensive. Can anyone shed some light on what it might be? The clutch and pedal box are A-OK, and reverse is also fine...
  6. Very interested in viewing the lupo. Could you tell me if you would let the car go for around £2400 as it is now? I know your looking for £2500, however i have the cash and can view today, been after one like this for a while. Get back to me asap
