  1. Hi Rob, Thanks for the input, Gave it a try, all I get is SAFE for around 5 seconds then it changes to 1000. when it shows 1000 I have tried every button with no change at all. I presume the code, If I had one, is entered with the numbered keys. it seems strange that I can not get the 1000 to change at all. like it is frozen or something. Is there a special trick to enter the code.......It feels like a daft question when I dont have one, but assuming I can get it I will need to know how to input it.
  2. Hi, My car (it is a GTI) has been left standing for a couple of months and the battery went completely flat. Charged it back up and it started up fine, however the radio is now in safe mode and I dont have the code, it is a VW Gamma head unit, anyone have any bright ideas how to get it working again. Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi, I have exactly the same key and the same problem. Key works fine but the remote won't programme to the car. I too have followed the coding instructions several times, the led on the key lights up but nothing else. It seems a popular mod that loads of people have achieved without a problem I hope some one out there knows the answer.

Hi James thanks for the reply, I have looked at loads of threads on here and other forums,that seem to point to problems with the door lock switches, I know it is a common problem, and can display exactly the problem I am having. When I have the car plugged into Vag-com you can access the central locking controller, within the measuring blocks you can see what the individual components of the system are doing, both drivers and passenger door microswitches are working fine they show as closed when the doors are closed and open when the doors are open. Also if I lock the door with the remote, then unlock but do not open the door, the car relocks after 30 seconds, (it should do this cos it knows the door has not been opened) If I open the door once it is unlocked it does not relock. So it knows whether the door is open or closed so it cant be the switch.. Interior light not working, lights on buzzer not working. Neither is the end of the world but it is starting to bug me now. I'm confused

Hi all, I have a 2001 Lupo GTI that has a couple of issues, The first is the interior light does not come on when the doors are opened, I have had it plugged into vag com and accessed the central locking data. It shows that both door lock switches are functioning correctly but, the light still does not work when left in the central position, it switches on manually but not by door switch. Is there a setting in vag com to activate this? On a similar note when in the central locking data I found a way of testing all functions of the central locking, one of which is an alarm chirp when activating the central locking. This worked for test but does not work in day to day use. How is this turned on. I hope a vag com expert can shed some light on this. Thanks in advance fo your advice. Regards
  6. Hi All, I have got the right flip key, (HL01J0959753AH) all the innerds are in it, it is not just a case. I have tried all the above instructions, and searched the forum for additional info. I can not get the key to do what it is supposed to. No horn sound or blip when attempting to programme/code it, and it does nothing other than light the little led when buttons are pressed. The car in question is a 2001 Lupo GTI. Any ideas on what to try next? hoping someone knows the answer. Regards
  7. Hi, I have a lupo GTI that has developed a problem with the fuel guage and temp guage. I have had a quick look and cant see how the dash clock assembly comes out. I'm sure one of you guys knows how it is done. any help gratefully recieved. Thanks

  9. Hi, First post from me. I have a 1999 Yellow Lupo 1.0E, The stereo has given up the ghost. I have been offered a VW RDC200 from a 2007 VW Transporter by a friend. We have tried to fit it and it will fit in the dash, but the plugs do not fit. Is it possible to make this unit work in the car? Is there a conversion plug available to allow the plugs to fit the sockets? Any advice or help gratefully recieved. Later
