  1. My arosa has started to use a fair bit of coolant lately, from the max it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to drop below to min and the warning light come on. Iv checked under the bonnet and there's no signs of leaks. I noticed the exhaust is smoking a lot now aswell, I polished the exhaust up and then the same day after a 10mile drive it was filthy again and a bit wet. Head gasket maybe? Is this common as its only done 45k? Oh and its a 1.4 arosa sport. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks
  2. A few more updates. got the lupo rear lights on and there so much better, improves the looks a lot in my opinion. also the interior was starting to look a bit shabby and peeling away so iv started to carbon fibre wrap a few parts. two pics to follow. more to come when its done. what yous think?
  3. I'm sure this used to live up the road from me. A guy called dan had it first then sold it to someone called gary in cumbria? Am I right or is this a different one?
  4. Does anyone know the location of the fuse box on an arosa and where the indicator fuse is? Thanks
  5. So, the Arosa got lowered on wednesday and im happy with the result. its lowered 40mm on KW springs and shortend dampers. iv also got a set of lupo rear lights to go in today as long as this rain stops. sorry for the poor pic quality as there off my blackberry and comments are welcome
  6. A few parcels arrived today. Pics will follow tomorrow with the changes
  7. Oh right. I'll top it up and see how it goes. I haven't noticed any leaks. Thanks
  8. No iv had no work done. The light came on again this morning as soon as I started it up so the engine wasn't even warm this time.
  9. ok, so I was driving the arosa today and the red temperature light started flashing so I pulled over and checked under the bonnet as the temp guage wasn't going up more than halfway which its usually at. I checked the header tank and its below the min and looks just like water with no coolant. Could this just be the problem or am I looking at something more serious? Thanks
  10. Looks good. i need mine lowered Best colour
  11. Im just thinking about some springs and shortened dampers. i dont really famcy cheap coilovers as the ride will probably be awful and cant afford decent ones yet.
  12. Thanks dude need a set of lupo rear lights and to get it lowered for a start.
  13. Haha yeh I'll come do yours. It took about 2-3 hours to machine it.
  14. Its well worth it when you see the difference. Takes a fair bit of time but when you see then end result you just think ahhhh. Haha.
  15. I had the car for a week yesterday, my new machine polisher had turned up midweek and it wasnt a bad day so ithought id tackle the Arosa. i only got a few pics before and alot after non during the 6hour process unfortunatly. I started off with a quick snow foam to remove all the loose dirt on top on the surface, then gave it a good hand wash using meguires gold class shampoo. After it was washed i gave it a good clay, i used the autoglym clay kit but made a lube up from cold water and the meguires shampoo, that worked a treat. the claying took a long time but to be honest was no where as near as bad as i was expecting for a car thats 8year old! once it was clayed the car was snowfoamed again to remove any old clay residue. It was then dryed and left to stand for a while. the wheels were also claned using bilberry. Next was the fun part, using the new polisher, The polisher of choise is the DAS-6 pro used with a 5" pad and menzerna intensive polish as the paintwork wasnt in the best of conditions. It took about 2hours to finish the car off with the polisher and it looks a million times better. to top it off i used a collinite wax and blacked the tyres with meguires tyre black. Any advice or criticism is welcome haha heres some pics before it was done: And after the hard work:
  16. I thought id post a few pics up of my arosa 1.4 16v sport. i picked it up on saturday from redditch and i must say im impressed so far, well worth the long train journey down. everything seems ok apart from the drivers and rear washer jets dont work so im just guessing there blocked nothing majour, and the clutch pedals fairly stiff, just wondering if this is normal or a common fault or anything with the arosa? iv got a few little plans to come soon i hope money depending, any feedback would be apreciated. thanks craig
  17. I thought that was you haha. I'd just got back from redditch then. I'll have to have a look at what to do to it.
  18. Hi, well iv been a member for a while, while iv been trying to find myself a nice lupo or arosa. I finally got myself a nice 1.4 16v arosa sport in blue with 45000mile on the clock this saturday. I must admit I'm impressed, I had to travel 4hours by train to get it and was well worth it. So I'll introduce myself now, I'm Craig, 20 from workington in cumbria.
