  1. Thankyou for your help Flying_Fox! i shall do that very soon i think! What else have you done to your fox ? or planning to do ?

I've just fitted a piper cross induction kit, Pioneer head unit and fli active 12" subwoofer. Got some 6x9's and a savage backbox to fit just now. Plannin on lowering it, tinting windows, interior retrim, full body kit and respray, should be done by the end of the year.

  2. You'll need to buy a 25mm blanking grommet. You just lift up the bolt cover on the wiper arm, unscrew that bolt, then pull off the wiper, then pull off the cover on the inside of the boot door, disconnect the electrical wire and the water pipe, then slacken off the 3 bolts holding the wiper motor on, just pull the motor towards you and you will be left with a rubber seal in the hole, take that out and replace with your blanking grommet, job done, all u need to do now is stick the electrical wire and the water pipe down with tape so there is no rattling then pop your cover back on.

  3. I have problems with my fox's warning lights. The abs light is constantly on and the brake warning light flashes and beeps 3 times constantly, sometimes the power steering light comes on and when that happens the speedo does'nt work, on cold starts in the morning the coolant light flashes and beeps too! anyone have any sort of idea whats causing all this, my car has been into the dealers 3 times with this but come out the same.

  4. doing the coileys myself.. cant be that hard.. i helped my mates do theres so i guess i know what im doing.. (mk1 caddy, mk1 golf, seat leon)

dont worry about the strips tho man.. i think i made it sound harder than it is.. you shouldnt have any problems.. just make sure you get some sticky stuff remover thats made for cars so it doesnt strip the paint!

Think im gonna install 6x9's 1st, ive got them sittin here. Any chance you cold tell me how u done yours? just not sure about where the wires go.

  5. the bump strips were a little tricky.. The sticky stuff is very sticky.. What I did was used a plastic bike tyre lever to get one end up then sort of cut the foam tape while you pull the rest off.. Be bloody carefull tho I scratched my car horridly doing it.. Just take your time and be gentle.. It leaves a horrible tacky mess after so youl wanna get like a bug and tar remover to get that off.. Definalty worth doing tho mate.. Im sure there's a lupo description on how to that's better than mine..

The sub cable was pretty easy.. I did it through where the bonnet open lever would be(the oppo side) in terms of finding it when it comes through the other side.. Trial and error..

Cheers, i'll try the sub later on today. gonna leave the bump strips just now lol. I've recently fitted a piper cross induction kit to mine's and a pioneer head unit. Bought an exhaust too but looks like i'll have to cut the original one off!! When are you getting your coilovers fitted, lookin forward to seein the pics.

  6. got them from venom motorsport for £420 i think it was.. i know expensive... they're fk coilovers and can go down 100mm.. and more if i mess around..

ive seen plenty around for about 250/300 jamex etc.. my ones they had to order in from the factory in germany tho so i guess there is a very low demand...

ps.. glad to hear im not the only person doing anything to a fox! ive only ever heard/seen 2 others.. and that was on here and wheel-whores..

    look forward to seeing yours..

How did u get the bump strips off mate? and i'm having probs gettin the big red power wire for sub through the bulk head into the footwell, keeps gettin caught!!!

  7. Does anyone know how to get the original back box off of the fox? got a savage back box to put on, also fitted a corsa c piper x induction kit to my fox, gives a great noise and car is noticeably a lot quicker! :)
