  6. I am on the lookout for some sidelight bulbs for my wife's Lupo GTI. Would like ones that almost match the xenons perfectly. Thought the sidelights were w5w's but when I checked they are the small fog light bulb type with the white cable coming out the back I think they are H3's. These seems quite good and would probably match. http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=194 Also found these but don't know if they would be too bright for the xenons. http://www.autotronicsuk.com/lighting-/h3-led-foglight-bulb-new-p-427.html What has everyone else got in theres?
  7. Is there a how to for removal of a GTI rear spoiler to replace the brake light? Had a look on the search but can't find anything.
  8. Looking for a bit of advice. My wife's Lupo GTI has an aftermarket Sony stereo in it and I hate it. Always preferred the original stereo's. I have managed to get hold of a Gamma and a CD changer but the only cable that came with it is a blue cable coming off the CD changer. Looking behind the small tray next to the Sony there are a lot of wires from an aftermarket install. What cables do I need to make the Gamma and CD changer work? I was having a look at this link and it showed a few of the wires I should have like the one with the brown plastic. http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6876
  9. Well thought it was about time that I posted a few pictures of my wife's Lupo GTI. We purchased it about 2 weeks ago near Durham. We live just near Aberdeen. My wife already owns a Lupo 1.0 but we found it a great car but just didn't have enough power when travelling along the dual carriageways. Had the car a few weeks and already changed the following.... Cambridge Rear Lights Normal number plates as the german ones on it were not legal Small aerial Aero rear wiper Did the mod on the exhaust to raise it Sharan Rear badge Purchased a rear brake light but that still has to be done Lego valve caps Thule bars A really good clean The car had been looked after by a young lassie who had him for 4 years it already had FK coilovers on it. Quite surprised by the car. It goes really well and has the 6 speed box. It is nice to drive a small fast car after driving a big van all week. Here are a few pictures when I got it home... A few now with the modifications I think I need to find a good location to take a few really good pictures.
  10. No it is a GTI. Need to update my profile and get some pictures up of it.
  11. What size of spacers would I need to bring the wheel flush with the arch without having to do any arch work? Been offered 4x100 spacers which are 15mm on the front and 20mm on the back. Would these be fine with a hub size of 57? Think they were fitted on the chaps Golf MK1.
  12. Anyone got any good mods for the door handles? Was reading through 99hjhm's thread and he vapour blasted his. Mine has the rubber all pealing. Is it worth just buying a new set? How much are they?
  13. This should come in handy for later when I get the new light. http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=21306
  14. Thanks for that. I have checked on the pricing for a few things and the prices seem pretty good. Just a quick question... He replied about the brake light in the spoiler saying that he has new ones which are leds and need to be modified to fit. Has anyone had one of these and does it take much modifying?
  15. The brake light on the spoiler is not working at all. Is it possible to change the bulbs themselves or is it a whole unit that you need to purchase. Tried to get into the brake light from under the boot but it didn't seem to remove it. Is there a how to on this?
  16. Gave it a shot but it is not having it. Both keyfobs have brand new batteries but when you press them none of them have the red light coming on. When you put the key in the ignition and then one in the door the horn isn't sounding. Would it be worth getting two new keys which are the newer three button type and get them coded by VW. My brother works for Audi so has contacts at VW. Thanks
  17. Having a problem with the keyfobs on the Lupo GTI. We were parked at the supermarket and when I came up to the car the buttons on the key were not unlocking the car. I placed the key in the drivers door lock and turned it when I opened the door the alarm when off and kept on going for a good 5 minutes. I even tried turning the key in the ignition but the alarm kept going. I ran back into the shop and purchased two new batteries and placed them into the two keyfobs I have but both are not working. Eventually it stopped and I was able to drive the car without looking like I stole it. Does the keyfobs have to be coded again? Is there some process to go through on the keyfob to make them work the alarm again or do I need to purchase some new ones? Any help would be appreciated.
  18. Saw a thread today which mentioned that there was a Cambridge light group buy. Is this offer still available? If so how much do you pay for the offer and how much should you be paying? Awesome GTI have them for £90.48 including vat.
