  1. Well my scuttles now leafy sludge free, blimey there was a lot of water that flowed out but this time it all went on the floor not my carpet? I've mopped out most of the water whilst the heater was on full blast and its now parked up in the 'nice warm sun' !! I've got a good feeling this is now fixed so thanks for your interest and ideas guys
  2. Thanks for all that info guys, I'm going to try all your suggestions this morning coz its actually stopped raining now - Updates later!
  3. The volume of water is huge too - have to use a mop to soak it up. 2 buckets full last time!!
  4. No I don't think so, I've heard it pour out from behind the dash under the shelf on the left side. Also on tight cornering it has poured out onto my feet as I am driving - but it's mostly on passenger side tho.
  5. Oh thanks - what is that and can it be mended?
  6. No sun roof - just indoor water feature sadly. Just don't know where to start with this leak
  7. Lupo spring a leak somewhere so when it rains water pours into passenger footwell from somewhere behind the dash. I can hear it swishing about on there going round corners or if I put the fan on it makes a sputtering noise. Has anyone any idea how to solve me problem or shall I just embrace the on board foot spa facility!!

  12. sorted! new sensor, engine flush n fresh oil seems to have done the job. drove 20 or so miles in it yesterday with no probs. cheers guys
  13. will a vagcom tell me if oil pressure is correct,?and if its getting to top end? sorry to sound like a thicko but really am new to workin on modern vehicles could do with a haynes manual for lupo but dont think they ever produced one. the sensor seems a good place to start before oil pump but where is it located in engine? a few people have told me that the pickup pipe and strainer in the sump are prone to getting clogged up but had sump off and they seem fine. also changed oil and filter so far but no joy. thanks to all replies steep learning curve for me
  14. cheers but im no longer a bugnut im now splinta ste one man vw club
  15. im new to the world of lupos having allways owned aircooled vws, and im having trouble with oil warning light. thinking of changing oil pump next and if that doesnt cure it maybe change engine. i have changed many aircooled engines in the past with no probs but they involve a couple of cables a few bolts and and a hose or two, very basic. wouldnt know where to start with watercooled as theres lots more to consider. is this a job for a novice ? or is it crazy garage prices?
