The lupo is amazing! Had my 1.4TDI sport for nearly 3yrs now and never had a problem. At one time I was getting 400miles from a single tank of diesel, thats 35L and it still had 2/3L left in the tank!! In short they are ace and will keep their value a lot more now VW have shot themselves in the foot by releasing that piece of cr@p the FOX!?!??

I would have expected brade discs to last a bit longer though, i mean 16k miles?! thats nothing. I am going to try and negociate something with them as even the service technician said it was worth arguing. I had my Nissan Micra (H reg!) for 3years and that never needed anything major like that doing.

I have just taken my Lupo for its second service since i got it (i.e. still under warranty) I was told that the front brake discs were "excessively pitted" and given a quote of £200 to replace them and the pads. Now am i right in thinking that they should replace the discs under the warranty? It seems a bit cheeky as i have only done just over 16k miles. thanks
