My Local VW Dealer service Dept talk about thick
endor71 replied to endor71's topic in Volkswagen Lupo
went back to my local dealer today who said it could have disconnected whilst driving home, which just made even more pissed off, but after demanding to speak to the head of service, who has since apologised, but also added that they only do what is on the job sheet, so if it said fit the new unit that is all they will do, stil i did get £75 which i had the option of taking off next service, but i managed to get new parts for my lupo instead, so now quite pleased at least my lupo a/c is working and i had a go at my local VW dealers. -
My A/C packed up so i took it to my local dealer only wanting the best for my lupo, after looking at it at £72 per hour they said it was the a/c control unit which operates the fans and a/c. this part alone costs £82, so i went ahead and booked the car in, had to wait two weeks as the part is on back order, common fault on lupos and mk4 golfs, so i was told. went in yesterday for the work, picked the car up and the a/c still not working, so i go back in and say look mate still not working, they said, you did not ask us to check it the work sheet says install a/c unit nothing about checking afterwards, i could not believe my ears, what stupid idiots, i came away really pissed off style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> , had a look at the unit when i got home, they had only forgot to plug it in!! going back in the morning to demand my labour cost back as i finished the job myself, it cost over £150 with the part and labour.

Hi after visitng my friendly VW dealer to order the towing hook cover for the left and right side of the car, gti model the cover is in the black grill at the front at the bottom, he looked at the car for 15 minutes before for deciding that he could not find a part number which i had already told him when i arrived , he then spent 10 minutes trying to locate the number on the computer system, by that time i had already lost the will to live, so could someone please help me obtain the vital numbers that i need for the parts i will be forever grateful and my car will look good!

Been looking for a gti lupo for ages, same size as beloved mk1 golf, (reminds me of the mk1 but newer and hopefully more reliable) dont seem to come up for sale very often, but i now have a Y reg gti in silver, not sure what to do to it i am welcome to suggestions, it is superb at the moment, although it does need a new exhaust, and something needs doing with the wheels as they are kerb'd badly it must be a early model as it is only 5 speed, i have read that they changed them to 6 speed soon after. I have taken the car to my lovely (not) VW dealer with regards to the missing trim, and have ordered a new front badge, although the member of staff was not very bright, and cannot find a replacement part to cover the towing hook at the front, (in the back grill at the bottom) so if anyone knows what the part number is i would be very grateful as the cover is missing on both sides! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> having trouble driving my car my wife has fallen in love with it!

I picked up my gti lupo today and it is a little rocket. I previously drove a supercharged G60 corrado and it is just as good! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> I have one question should the front grill have a gti badge?
