i've changed the ht leads and still the same thing no power over 3000 revs and EPC still comes on.
took it to driftbridge VW garage and there going to call me this week to book me in for a proper diagnosis.
But took it to another garage for 2nd opinion. so he pluged it in and done a diagnosis test but
this time its come up with 4 differnt codes than when my mechanic did it. i told this mechanic
that he said it sound like a ECU broke and he said we can keep on changin the sensors comin up
but i could be wasting my money so he suggested i go to VW. anyone had this problem or had the ECU
changed and how much??

it was actually his HT leads causing it, god knows how but we changed them and it aint doing it anymore lol

You need to be more specific pall, but the guy sounds like he doesnt know what hes doing to be honest, From what you have said he might have hanged the MAP sensor and blagged it to be a big job to get more money from you. If the engines stuttering it tends to bring up a code for the map sensor even tho its perfectly fine.
Sounds like a bad lead, coilpack, crank sensor or cam sensor.
Could even be the lambda sensor.
And sounds like its running in limp mode.
Get a decent diagnosis on whats goin on, its helps so much more.
Its the map sensor manifold absolute pressure. But got it back and light comes
Back on when driven over 3500 revs. And I'm still in limp mod now because there is
NO POWER and A LOT OF NOISE so its goin to the driftbridge VW garage on sat. Really
pissed off just want my lupo back to normal.

he has pluged it back up and it come up with the same code for the same sensor.
and he said it could be the computer packing up????

he said he's changed the sensor but when you take the revs over 3000
the epc light comes back on any ideas. and i'll find out witch sensor it is
tomorrow

my mechanic has said its the sensor down the manifold and he is going to replace it tomorrow. but he said it tricky to get to
because he's gotta take the cam belt and other stuff off to get to it and it's £90 for the sensor and £100 for labour is fair price???

just rang my mechanic he's gonna plug it into the computer tomorrow for me.

sorry for the spelling mistake.
i was driving home from work and there was a noise when i
went past 3000 revs. but no lack in power. the noise was like a hole in
the exhaust but my lupo is not low and i dont go fast over
speed bumps.so i pushed the throttle little bit harder and
there was a little pop and the noise is louder and lacks
alot of power the epc light cam on.
didnt stall though.

im not low just standard but will it make the EPC if that did happen.

oil seem fine about half way on the stick but the engine is still warm.
could it be the drive sharft?

Does it run now, how does it run, did it loose oil, are all the belts intact?
i think oil poored out because when it happened i stop and had a look saw somethink
but didnt know if it was gear box oil or what. makes a funny noise when i rev
like i got a hole in an exghast. but really lack power.

help engine made a pop noise and lack power with the ECP light on.
i know ECP means engine managment system.
but wht has happened and how much to fix.
light still comes on when i go over 3000 revs???

I think there are 1 or 2 memebers who have hit 140bhp with full system, induction kit and a remap?
I'm aiming for 130+ out of my sport
They arnt the best engines for achieving power out of to be honest.
how you getting 130 out of a sport???

hello. just wondering if anyone can help
because recently when i start up the car in the morning
i leave it to run to warm up for 5-10 mins as you do
but when i go from 1st to 2nd it crunches but it stops
after a while. wht could it be???

Kam Racing does discount on KW's but id imagine they are out of the 400 price range. I got mine on friday and will hopefully have them on this friday coming....exciting
