Thanks What mpg are you getting from yours? - you think the one I've spotted is about right or OTT on price?

Hi all, Looking to buy a TDi lupo and was wondering what the main things to look for would be? I've spotted a mint looking 53 plate in silver, 95k with FSH for near £3k that I'm going to look at tomorrow... does this sound a lot or about average for the spec? What were optional extras on the TDi - was Air con available, etc? Thanks, Ryan

Plates are now back to original so car is ready to go whenever I get a suitable offer!

I believe so - I can double check and get back to you but there's certainly 90% of it there if not all. There's so much in the folder I've not put it in order of service receipts but the book is all stamped up...

You can buy them from a fiat dealership, they just have to be registered with Abarth. The one on the Silverlink in newcastle is approved and has quite a few 500 Abarth's in stock.

The 500 is obviously based on a fiat, but from what I understand it's not even branded as a FIAT 500 Abarth....it's an ABARTH 500. Weather this is irrelevant I (I would guess so) but from reading reviews and info on the web, it seems as if the majority of the car uses different components and/or setups to a standard 500. I know Abarth is probably owned by Fiat but how closely controlled it is, I don't know... Not heard anyone complaining about reliability on them as yet but it's early..

Yea but was it the SS version or the standard Abarth. Standard is around 130 bhp and the SS is 160 ish I think. There's also a Ferrari version... a few selling on pistonheads for £40k plus!!!1

£943 for me, fully comp 22 yr old with 4 years no claims when I'll be looking to get something.

I love them, I have to be honest. A bit pricey I guess but then again the GTi wasn't exactly bargain basement when it was new! Had a look at one in a dealership and the finish and kit with them is quite impressive...looking for something small, fun but better on fuel than the lupo so I can use it for work every day once i start again. Thought about a cooper S but sort of put off the R56 ones...they seem a bit like a small BMW or something, more than a mini. Insurance on an Abarth....I wonder

Any thoughts...anyone driven one..comparison to Lupo?

Hi all, I was wondering seen as my GTi is 10 years old this year and I've recently fitted coilovers, would it be advisable to replace the suspension bushes? I've seen a few people fitting poly ones on here and I know I used to have the same on my classic mini. Would it improve handling? Which ones should I replace and what with...poly or normal? Cheers for the help Ry
