i am not really an electronics buff but apparently the one error which appeared on the diagnostic was amended - i'm guessing it something to do with the onboard computer was there were no other mechanical errors found. Do VW have VAG software to reset the idle speed?

Hi! About 2 weeks ago I notced that after starting my lupo up the idle speed went from 1000 rpm down to 500 rpm after I as I was half way through my journey. Then it decided to stall on me everytime I changed into 1st due to the idle speed being too low. Had an engine diagnostics by an independant garage and they found nothing wrong with the throttle body - just that the spark leads needing replacing which I have done and an error on the ECG which they have reset. However the problem still persists - want do you guys think the problem is and do VW garages have specialist software to reset the idle speed and any ideal on cost? - it cost me £60 for a set of spark leads!

What is the recommended idle speec for a Lupo 1.4. Mine's running at 500 rpm - is that too low?

This may seem like a stupid question but is the Lupo 1.4 an injection or carburetor? I' m trying to alter the idle speed on my T-reg but I guess i would have to go back to the VW dealer to run it through a computer to reset it if it's an injection?

Could any of you guys tell me where the throttle body is positioned in the engine bay? My idling speed it a bit low which is causing my engine to cut when I change down to 1st and apparently cleaning the throttle body may retify it. Pictures would be great!

hi, Just got a Lupo 1.4 S and I have started to notice that on some occasions, particulary towrds the end of longuish journey,that the engine seems to cut whenever I seem to change down to 1st gear. When I depress the clutch in preparation to changing to 1 st, the rpm drops to below 500 rpm and dies on me. Don't think its the battery as it starts up fine and I don't think it's driver error but just wondering if any of you guys experienced the same and what you think the diagnosis is?

Hi, Just bought a Lupo S in black but is seems to attract dust like anything when I use Turtlewax black polish. Can any of you guys reccommend any polish or any tips of the trade?

This a bit back to basics but does any one have a step by step process into removing the beta radio from the dash?

Could any of you guys tell me how to wire up interior neons? Sticking the bloody thing in the cigarette lighter does not look brilliant!
