Can't believe neither of them knew about it being the derby match up there the weekend we're going down. It's a really big one aswell this time round because they're both struggling in the dogfight. I couldn't have imagined relegation that night, good times. Tickets for that match go on general sale April 13th. What chance do you reckon I have if I ring up that day? Will tickets even reach general sale? As for it being the best atmosphere ever, i'm not sure much tops Blades-Wed*es*ay games! Pure hatred. We hadn't lost to them in years until a month or so ago. Anyway back to the original topic. What kind of dress code is it up there? Are you likely to get turned away everywhere if your in t-shirt and trainers?

Me and 8 of my mates from Retford are all coming up to Newcastle for the weekend April 18th-20th for a couple of lads birthdays. We're stopping in a travelodge somewhere nearish to the Train Station and we're all just wondering where all the hot spots are for the Nightlife? We're all 18-21ish so y'know the type of place I mean, decent bars, clubs etc. And on the Saturday afternoon we don't know what we wanna do, is there anything good to do in the day? We thought about going for a Sunderland or a Newcastle match but we didnt fancy getting fleeced by teams we don't even care about! Let me know lads!

absolutely stunning car mate. Just wondering what rear wiper that is? And how much it would it have cost just to of had your bonnet and boot smoothed and then your boot popper fitted and wired up to your RCL? because thats something i've wanted to do for ages now. how does it work when it is wired up, do you just press a button and it pops open?

Having some problems at the moment with my speakers. I have rear speakers in my car, little vibe ones. i have these in my boot and they are what wire up the rear speakers in my door card. but not sure what they do really. But the thing I've noticed is, sound only comes out of one set of speakers at a time. So one minute my rear speakers will be working, the next minute the front ones will be working. And the front ones (in my door) give absolutely nothing in terms of bass or clear sound. Just wondering if any of you lot have had this problem and know how its solved. . . Also I might be getting two subs off someone soon. But I don't have an amp yet so just wondering which amps you would advise I get. I'm on a tight budget so I'm looking for a cheap but 'does a decent job' option. Also buying some 6 x 9s for my parcel shelf hopefully soon, so you know, same again, whats cheap but good? And have many of you replaced your door speakers? And what with?

"i say satin black with red pinstripe" red pinstripe on the lip...? argh it's frustrating me all these ideas. i know that i'm not keen on white, not sure why. i like the look of chrome a lot, black and silver lip, black and red lip i like. even contemplated changing my red interior for a yellow interior and getting my dials yellow and lol! just to be a bit crazy. just can't make my mind up. keep the opinions coming though if you've got anything to add!

i want to get my bonnet and tailgates smoothed, filled in and then painted. so do you guys think £300 is about the kind of money your talking to do that? its a while off until i do it, but just curious to know.

glad to see i got such a wide spectrum of opinions here. it's something thats still puzzling me. my original thought when i bought them was to go for polished lip and black centre, but it's been done too much really. i like andyp's suggestion of black with a red lip and chrome does looks stunning. hmmmm. how do you get them chrome by the way, is it just a special kind of paint used? is it the more expensive option?

I'm from Retford, near to Doncaster and I've never seen a GTI knocking around. Will have to look out for you.

I'm going to be giving them a refurb, hopefully in the next month or two. But still unsure where I want to go with them, colourwise. So just wondering what you guys think might look good and all that jazz, the top image is a picture of my car at the moment.
