hi how much realistically should getting this sorted cost?

i'll get it booked in at VW first thing then although its been in there before aswell and they didnt notice!

well i wouldnt mind but ive had it in at a garage 4 times for them to try and find out what the rattling is and why it burns oil and they couldnt find anything then my boyfriend (EaRNi!) sticks his head under the bonnet and spots it straight away. it seems they are incompetent monkeys also!!

not really and there isn't any knocking about under the bonnet its just the smell more than anything. really strong especially when im stopped.

would that be the cause of the burning oil smell i am getting aswell? could it be gearbox oil burning?

would it be that, thats causing a funny rattling noise when im driving?

i have just looked under the bonnet of my 1.4s and there are some bolts that look to be holding the driveshaft on, they look to have wound themselves out but i dont know. should they actually be like this? here is where the problem is, down the right hand side. close up shots, sorry couldn't really get the camera in close thankyou
