  1. Ah, price had been obscured somewhat by the insert of the first photo! £5,295
  2. VW, LUPO GTI MOT: expires 11th Oct 2022 Engine size: 1598 CC – 5 speed Mileage: 120,500 Fuel type: Unleaded Location: Durham, UK 2001 GTI in Black, £5295 Almost unmodified example. Slight mods are Eibach Prokit Lowering Springs and Team Heko wind deflectors. Otherwise it’s totally original spec with factory fitted electric sunroof, VW CD/tape player. Fully stamped service history and comes with original booklets/VW wallet that is stuffed with old MOTS and receipts etc, 2 original keys. Interior (grey with red stitching) – no rips/damage to upholstery, trims, carpets, mats, dash, etc all super tidy. I’ve had it since 2011 (102K on the clock), used as a weekend/summer car, it gets garaged in winter. Has had the following done in my ownership that I feel are worth mentioning: 2011 New Door Check Straps 2012 New Radiator 2012 New Bootlock Surround (cosmetic) 2012 New indicator and wiper stalks, new hinge on driver’s door 2012 New Front Grille and Badges. New interior grab and door lock handles (cosmetic) 2012 New VW black floor mats 2015 New Front & Rear Pads and new nearside rear calliper 2016 New Suspension Bottom Arms 2019 Cambelt and water pump replaced 2020 New Varta Blue Battery 2021 New offside rear calliper, new rear pads 2021 Fuel Injector replaced (3 further refurbished injectors included in sale , should any more go), also had plugs and leads replaced, can't recall exactly when Original Bathurst alloys were refurbished a few years ago, still look very smart but do have a couple of minor scuffs 4 new Toyo Proxes tyres two years back Bad Points A few age related surface blemishes, tiny dimple on the rear bumper and a couple of small chips on the windscreen – but as you will see on close inspection and from the pictures it is in great condition for its age. The high rear brake light in the spoiler does not work – it was like this when I bought it and is a common issue, I have a brand new OEM replacement unit with fitting instructions but not got round to fitting it and will include this in the sale. Starter motor makes the common quirky squawk noise, it was doing this when I bought it and hasn’t affected it starting at all. Everything else works as it should. It’s been well looked after by me and the previous owners so you will be getting a cracking little car, runs nice and smooth, looks great for its age and it’s been a pleasure to drive and tinker with over the years. I’m treating myself to a camper so need to free up some funds. I think that’s about it. Anyone wanting to test drive will need proof of insurance otherwise I’ll be doing the driving.

    TEST

Feel free to delete, just checking I could upload images for car sale
  5. Hi, just need the one as the plastic retainer clips have snapped off. I know these are hard to come by these days, I tried getting some from Latvia but no joy. So if anyone has any knocking about, or a potential source please let me know.
  6. Snap, let us know when you have a spare hour or so to take a look.
  7. Hi Rich, to be fair I'm not 100% sure what is required but the info I've been given is that it is a fault with the drivers side squib and it will be the wiring under the seat. I haven't investigated further as I didn't want to get in a flap and get it wrong and have put up with the light being on the dash but if its a simple fix then I will feel better having it sorted. Thanks for the offer of assistance, where are you based? hopefully you can take look and see what's going on and you'll probably know what needs doing
  8. Hi, perhaps this is a long shot, but my airbag light on dash is showing as apparently I have issue with the wiring loom under the drivers seat, I assume/hope this is a straightforward unplug and replace job. So if any kind soul has one (breaking GTi??/not sure if this part is the same on other Lupo models) I would gladly pay for it posted and can collect in a 25 mile radius of Durham area. If anyone can point me in the direction of one or has any advice about this issue that would be great too! Ta

    Lupo GTI

Not sure this fits your criteria, but I've still got it. http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?/topic/100776-lupo-gti-black-2001-plate-for-sale/
  11. Bump - must be someone interested, lots of post views but no enquiries
  12. Make: VW, Model: LUPO GTI MOT: expires 8th Oct 2015, no advisories on last MOT TAX: £205, Engine size: 1598 CC – 5 speed Mileage: 108,700 Fuel type: Unleaded Location: Durham 2001 GTI in Black Only slight modifications are Eibach Prokit Lowering Springs and Team Heko wind deflectors otherwise its as it came off the production line including electric sunroof. It’s a fantastic example, everything works as it should and comes with 2 sets of original VW Keys. I’ve had it since 2011 when it had 102K on the clock and have had the following done: • 2011 Major Service, New Door Check Straps MOT • 2012 New Radiator • 2012 New Bootlock Surround (cosmetic) • 2012 MOT, new indicator and wiper stalks, new hinge on driver’s door • 2012 New Front Grille and Badges. New interior grab and door lock handles (cosmetic) • 2012 New VW floor mats (cosmetic) • 2013 MOT, Full service • 2014 MOT, New Silver Battery (3 year warranty I think) • 2015 Full Service, New Front & Read Pads and new nearside rear caliper 108K on clock • Lots of cleaning, washing, polishing and waxing! Interior – It is immaculate - no rips/damage to upholstery, trims, carpets, dash, etc. Comes with almost new VW floor mats and I will throw in the original VW GTI mats that are still in decent condition. 2 sets of alloys on offer, the original Bathurst alloys are in very good condition, just a few scuffs but nothing nasty, all 4 tyres have plenty of tread left (Uniroyal Rain Sport). Also includes a set of Lenso BBX (see main set of pictures) that I use in the summer, all 4 tyres (Yokohama S-Drive) also in great condition – almost like new! Full stamped service history and comes with original booklets in VW wallet that is stuffed with old MOTS and receipts etc. Bad Points Very small dink on in the rear drivers side wheel arch, car came to me like this and it’s never bothered me enough to get it sorted, also a few age related surface blemishes but no rust – as you will see on close inspection and from the pictures it is all in great condition and looks amazing! Also the high rear brake light in the spoiler does not work – it was like this when I bought it and is a common fault on the GTI, I have sourced a brand new replacement unit with fitting instructions but not got round to fitting it – I will include this in the sale. Starter motor makes the common quirky squawk noise – nothing wrong with it and is a common occurrence on GTIs – it was doing this when I bought it and hasn’t affected it starting at all. Price: £3,800 – if you meet the full asking price you will get the 2 sets of alloys. Anyone wanting to negotiate a lower price, just gets the Bathurst’s – wheeler dealers be warned I am not in a rush to sell and believe the asking price is a fair one. It’s been well looked after by me and the previous owners so you will be getting a cracking little car, runs like a dream, looks fantastic and it’s been a pleasure to drive and tinker with over the last few years, I will miss it! I think that’s about it. Anyone wanting to test drive will need proof of insurance for this car otherwise I’ll be doing the driving. Feel free to ask any questions, PM me to arrange viewing etc Photos will appear below very soon!
  13. Apart from being slightly lowered on springs, mine is original. Don't mind what others do to their GTI'S but in future as original as possible will be the cars that folk seek or perhaps those customised to 'tasteful' themes or even extreme makeovers depending on taste - nice leather interior etc. Quite a few Gti's are looking shabby and probably destined to be broken. A lot of cars that have been modded look good and attract a certain type of trend follower but the long term trend will be original spec very much like almost all older cars.
  14. Issue solved, on close inspection there was a plastic cap/top rammed in the bottom (looks like it's off a device the previous owner may have been using) Only had the car 4 years myself never needed to use it until now but have slow puncture so needing to use my fag lighter powered pump from time to time
