TwinkleToes Posted November 17, 2013 Report Share Posted November 17, 2013 Hey, looking for some help or guidance ...Drove my 2000 reg 1.4 MPI seat arosa to my mum's yesterday morning no problems, went out for the day, later that evening car wouldn't idle. It starts but as soon as I let go of the key it dies I have a inclin it's the ignition switch as it seems like the key is returning on itself when I let go, if I put the key in, start it and hold it in position it runs, I've turned the car round by holding onto the key but as soon as I let go it stalls. Is my inclin on the right track?Looking at getting a new ignition switch but have read on other topics that you need to remove the barrel and drill it out to get to the switch?
