Good choice, nippy little cars, they can upset a few bigger cars as well.Make sure that the following work has been carried out to the car or that the part isn't on its way out before you buy one.*Cam belt, Tensioner & Water pump every 40k or every 4 years (whichever is soonest)*Pedal box (VW will do this for free if it hasn't already been done as its their bad)*Gearbox (Check that it doesn't make any noises and selects all gears, avoid the reverse crunch by selecting 1st gear before reverse, gear linkages is always the cheapest of options)*Clutch (Check to see its not squeaky and that rhe biting point is low, could just need a simple adjustment being a cable clutch but it likely means the clutch is on its way out)*Door straps (click, click, click - simple fix for this and its cheap, see the "How To" section)*Door locking mechanism on the drivers side (You'll know about this as the central locking won't work)*Exhaust will need replacing for Loops older than 8 years, again you'll know as it will sound like a lawnmower. Catalytic is also a possibility around the same time.Don't be put off by the above, its mainly just a list of wear and tear parts which can be replaced whenever they decide to wear out. The only thing I'd be worried about is the pedal box. But when your looking at a Lupo check all of the above thoroughly. Hope this helps.
