Glenn Posted September 21, 2003 Report Share Posted September 21, 2003 Please can anyone help, I have a vibration going through the car at `50-70` mph only under acceleration, the car has been back to vw and they changed the complete passenger side hub assembely and it has made no difference, I suspect the drive shaft to be at fault as it only occurs when accelerating.I also had the layshaft bearings in the gearbox replaced under warranty, very disappointing seeing as the car has only done 38000 miles. Ps, the vibration is not the wheels out of balance as I have just fitted brand new 15 in alloys and this made no difference what so ever, its a 2001 1.4 16v. its back in on wednesday with strict instructions to fix the problem or find a replacement car as we have only owned it for 1 month.
