  5. I think this is very OUT OF ORDER posting this on the actual forum! I told you that I was away with work at the moment and will attempt to call home to see whether this has been posted... yet you decided to post on the forum questioning my integrity!!!

    NOT IMPRESSED.

I have PM'd you and will get back to you in due course,,,, but you have handled this totally the wrong way, as all you have done now is put my back up!!!

  6. Tweeters come in what ever size they are made, you have to make adaptors to make them fit in the desired space.

I've change the door speakers, tweeters, rewired, and amped my front speakers up.

When you buy the new speakers, if they have a seperate tweeter then they are called 'componants'. You could buy speakers that have it all in one and just put these in your door and get rid of you dash tweeters if you liked, this wouldnt sound as good though.

you attach the mdf to the door with srews :)

Have a look at my cars thread, i've got some photos of when i did mine in there... but its a lupo not a mk1 arosa.

TBH though pal, you may as well just stick to your standard speakers if you not going to be amping the new ones up as you won't see a great difference i dont think.

    Edit: Screws not srews :P

Yeah I wont be amping mate, thanks for your help.. appreciate it.

  7. You have to remember though you have tweeters in the dash.

My mate had a mk1 rosa. With a new h/u and sub, running standard front speakers it sounded great.

Great what size tweeters would I need mate?

Also how do I secure the mdf rings to the door?

Sorry very new to all this

  8. You will either need to buy some speaker adapters from Autoleads (or similar) or make up some 24mm MDF Rings.

    165mm Speakers will fit. (6.5")

sounds like hard work, just thought i could just swap over the speakers nice and simple

  9. Hi guys, just picked up a arosa from piston heads...

Two very quick queries if someone can confirm:

    1. What air pressure should the tyres be? my model is a 1.0mpi on standard size wheels (they are tiny lol)

    2. When driving the car wants to pull to the right? could this be the tracking?

Hope someone can clear this up :)

  10. Guys I need a new battery for my mk1 arosa (1.0) where is the cheapest place generally to get one? need 1 tomorrow so online is not an option...

Need to pick one up this morning, halfords are quoting £59.99 there must be cheaper than that out there??

  11. Hi guys picked up a mk1 arosa earlier today in excellent nick and low miles, with only 68k on her. Driving it for the first proper time (gave her a test run before buying and all seemed fine) and the following faults, problems are...

    1. when I put my foot to the floor in 3/4/5 gear there sounds like a vibration from the engine????

    2. when I turn the key once (before the second click to start car) there is like a very low, dull pitch of a sound coming from the engine which is on for about 15 seconds then goes away???

    3. now (more recent) I am finding when I start the car, after couple of minutes there is a severe vibration coming from the engine, as if something is caught i.e. like a wire,,???

    Can someone please help???

  12. I cant remember what the stealers are charging to be honest, but for what it will cost in trims you might me able to afford some cheep wheels. Ill check if i still have my trims, not sure if i binned them...

Thanks mate really appreciate it if you could help :D

  13. Depends if you want seat ones or not, theres loads on ebay that arent

How much are the seat ones mate? (roughly)

I have looked on the bay and they are around £20 delivered... but without the seat logo so would need to buy them seperate which are £10 for a pack of four.
