Well my cars been scrubbing since ive had the wheels on my car. and recently im having to take another person to work and all the way there the back arches where scrubbing on the tyres.
not loads or it would have ripped the tyre appart or something, but the noise isnt exactly "nice" and i need to get it sorted out, its scrubbing on the outer fold of the arch by the way.. height wise theres plenty of room.
could do with some suggestions about what i could do with it to stop it doing it..
the tyres on the wheels are 185,55,R14 and at et38. so thats not exactly helping the matter, and the cars on TA's without the adjusters in.
suggestions ive thought of so far is,
- smaller tyres with a slight stretch, 175, 50's / 165, 55's... what would be better?
- camber shims... dont really want to have to put camber on for the sake of it though
- rolling the arches slightly/bending them in a bit
- dont have adjusters any more, so cant wind the back up, and dont really want to have to.
so yeah, any comments, or suggestions on what could be done to sort this out would be much appreciated.

yeah mean keighley west yorkshire, just spelt it wrong in the title :$ haha.
guessing the person isnt on here then, not seen them before. never see anyone with lupos round here

got some pictures of the meet. wasnt a massive turn out but was ok. All the pictures are just off peoples phones, so not the best quality, we all forgot to take a decent camera haha.
was good seeing some of the people, only me and vinny in lupos
hopefully more for the next one, hopefully the weather will be better though lol.

yeah thats the one mate. should be a pretty good turn out, theres a fair few up for it.
were going to just go down by there, its a fairly big industrial estate, well out of the way of everyone.

Date: Sunday 10th January
Time: 6:30 onward
Location: Industrial estate by VW dealership, Crosshills.
Directions - From Keighley follow signs for Skipton, once on the bypass take the first left at the second roundabout, signposted Colne/Crosshills. You will get to another roundabout with the VW showroom next to it, take the first exit off the roundabout and continue into the industrial estate, theres a couple of car parks with no bollards/barriers next to the second mini roundabout - In one of these.

mines got a cable clutch. and its had a new peddle box in at some point according to the garrage that fitting the new cable.
mines a 1.4 S but 2001... so unless it was changed slightly a year or so after?

anyone know if the space between where the wheel bolts up to, and the arches are the same on a lupo as a polo 6n? because thats what their on at the minute and they fit on that fine

another wheel qyestion.. i know, and probably going to get some abuse off someone for it.
but basically, my mates off to look at a car with some mini superlights on and said he'd sell them on to me if i wanted them and if theyd fit.
as they stand the wheels are;
13x7J
ET -7
with some 155/50/13 tyres.
anyone know if these would fit on the lupo?
or would there need to be some major arch work done?... or anyone know of someone putting some on a lupo so i can ask them directly what had to be done.

at the minute, the meet is "planned" to happen on the 10th januray, 7:30 at keighley sainsburys carpark. but could quite easily change
Not sure how many people on here are from around this area, but theres afew of my mates and some off club polo trying to get like a "mini meet" going in the new year, which will hopefully get better in time.

Well ive been looking about, and thinking its about time to upgrade from the retro standard tape deck and cd player in the lupo. would prefere a double din one to fill the gap but if not ill have to settle for a single one.
but because mine has the two spaces filled... whats usually in the gap? incase i get a single one?
or where can i buy something to fill the gay? like the plastic fascia bit you can get... thats if you need one?
sorry, probably simple questions to most, but i am pretty useless with this sort of thing.

its just a film you stick over and cut to shape.
and has like a honey comb effect to it so light still gets through, but cant tell from like 2 feet away. really easy to do too, my mate did my headlights, indicators and fogs in about 10 minutes

not done much to the car for a while, not had the money to do anything with it braking so much lol.
thought id update with some "smoked" headlights. not seen them been done this way before so thought id show them, see what people think.
whats everyone think? it looks abit fuzzy because the pictures are off my phone, and the cars just been washed so theres water sitting on the lights still lol.
the thing thats on them is called Flyeye or something, and claims to be MOT compliant. ebay item numbers 220513880754 if anyone wants to look.
thought id post some pictures for people to see, for a different way to tint the headlights because i didnt trust myself taking them apart lol

Looking at buying some new centre caps for my wheels as mine have got abit.. tatty, to say the least.
but cant find anywhere that tells me the size of the cap i need for them?
at the minute i have the ones that came straight out of my sport wheels, anyone know what size im looking for some i can get some ordered?

aah right yeah. their only 6.5" wide, so not exactly anything stupid.
