  1. Is remote central locking easy to fit, and the kit looks good and is quite cheap

Has anyone on here actually done this? It looks good, and a fab price.. is it worth me getting it, or would I also have to fork out loads for someone else to do it for me?

    Frankie.

  2. Who else does this happen to then. Not at shows, just out on the road, parked or at lights etc.

I ask as i have had it happen once before but today outside the uni i spotted some guy taking a several photos of my car while walking along.

This has happened to me only once in my car, but my Husband has a Nissan Cube Rider, which is an import from Japan - we get so much attention and people taking pics of the Cube - sometimes it's nice, and sometimes you get bored of feeling like you're in a zoo!!

People are really upfront aswell... no word of a lie, I was sat in the passenger seat watching a DVD, my kids were in the back, my Husband was in the chinese picking up our tea, and this group of people came up - about in their 40s I'd say - and actually looked through the front windows with their hands pressed up against the glass, to look inside - you know what I mean? I was amazed! Where am I supposed to look when that happens?! I ended up just pretending I hadn't seen them, trying to ignore them, like! There's no way they didn't know I was there!!

When I was learning, in the Summer, a guy in a little old corsa was driving on the dual carriageway alongside me, and motioned for me to wind the window down - I did that, and he asked what size the engine was! I told him, and he went "Cheers, love!" gave me a thumbs up and burned away!

  3. I shall get some more pics up very soon, but since the original post I have had the rear windows tinted and they look sweeeeeet!! Also, I've bought some clear indicators and some darker doorcards for the inside and can't wait to get them on!! :-D

  4. Diets are stupid. I've never been on a diet in my life and I've never been overweight in my life. I find things that are tastey and healthy instead of just eating junk all the time. I'll eat unhealthy stuff, but not to often. Moderation is the key!

    Ha! Nice one..

Try having two children.. I put on five stones in the course of three years. No choice but to diet, unless I wanted to stay fat?!

I opted for the diet (a healthy diet, not one of these fad things) and upped my exercise and shifted the five stones in about 18 months. Phased the diet out almost completely since the summer, and now eat in moderation - more than I did on the diet. Managed to easily maintan now since summer. Now a slinky size 10.

As well as that, I'm fitter than most men I know. I hit the gym four/five times a week. I love running. Hence how I'm lucky enough to still be able to have treats :-D

But for me, my weakness is savoury food rather than sweet.. although you can't whack Ben and Jerry's yummy yum yum!! :-D

  5. Aww I love food - which is horrid, because I've been on a diet for ageees but I'm phasing the diet out now. (I used to be fat but now I'm kind of not!) Luckily now I'm a thin-ish girl who loves her food!! :-D

I'm vegetarian, but my absolute favourite meal ever is cooked breakfast. Yum yum yum. Got to have hash browns with it. I love the Ikea breakfast - you can't beat it for a quid!! But I never have the eggs - because they're soggy. I also LOVE a good fried egg sarnie!!

    Meeeee-aow!! :-D

    Haha!!

  6. TV Plus is a pretty slick app.

Links to your Sky+ online account so you can set your STB to record from anywhere.

RunKeeper is great if you a runner? Tracks you with GPS and maps your route and gives you some stats etc.

I've been looking at some running apps. Before my iPhone I had Nike+, but I'm looking for an app with GPS aswell to track my route! I've seen a few.. decisions, decisions LOL!!

  7. i too have horrid doorcards, just not somehting i can buy at the moment with bigger plans in the pipeline.

Regarding the doorcards you could speak to porchetrimmer on here and his work is next to nothing in this world, stunnin, alternitivly give it a go yourself, as you say, it easy anough to get another set of doorcars. I had a bash at mine in ornage, still wanting to experiment with different materials though.

    Sean

    Hi Sean,

What's the guy's name? I can't find that name in the memberlist?

And, how do I do it myself? What did you do when you had a go at orange?

    Frankie.

  9. I have some horrid mats in my Loop - I'm looking for some nice thick ones.. My Husband has some nice thick pile ones in his Nissan Cube, and I'd like some nice and thick ones in dark grey for Loopy. Does anyone know where I can get some decent ones? Does anyone else have some nice thick ones?

Also, I hate my doorcards (I think that's what they're called!) they're a lightish grey and are not looking their best. I guess I can get some from a scrapyard and the like, but they all tend to be the smae lightish grey.. I was thinking of getting them re-covered. Does anyone know of anywhere I can get this done?

Thanks in advance for the help!!

  10. Oh noes, what's wrong with it?

I had "recovery by Dad" once after hitting a brick in the road with the Lupo.

RAC have collected the G40 twice in 3 months. First time was epic!

    Haha!!

The RAC man told me that it looks like the cambelt is a little loose, so his money is on that the cambelt slipped and knocked the timing out of sync. It hasn't snapped though, and the engine still turns over so apparently, that's a good sign. She's being taken away tomorrow morning to the garage so I should know for definite tomorrow sometime what's up with her and when I'll get her back..

Gutted though, in the morning I took her for her window tints (which look sweet) and in the afternoon I was stranded at the side of the dual carriageway!! :-D

  11. At least she's just broken down and you havent biffed her in he face or anything!

Snowy's broken down 3 times now. Trailer Whore!!

Haha!! Have you had to be towed all three times?! Aww I was just so gutted! I went in the morning to get her back windows tinted, he did a fantastic job, she looks gorgeous, and then on the way home she broke down :-(

Hopefully she'll be sorted sometime this week!

    Frankie.xx

  12. Oooh when does this have to be done by?! I reckon I could give it a go.. and, if I won, I'd let you off being my personal slave!!

Unless.. if I asked you to give a random guy a wedgy does that count?! That would be hilarious!!! :-D
