  1. I would have thought if the rings were on the way out, the oil would get burnt in the chamber and would get nowhere near the intake? Sounds like an oil breather problem?

    Not an expert though.

  2. brake light switch replaced as it was the only fault showing up on the plug in, now showing no faults but still has the EPC light on, switching it off lasts about a mile

    And are the brake lights definitely coming on ?

  3. My 1.0e did this a few times , sorts itself out. You might notice the needle drops a fraction when you turn the engine off. It'll keep doing this until it hits the bottom after a while. Let it sort itself out , don't be tempted to turn the engine on and off loads of times in a short space of time.

    Its an issue with the gauge not the engine.
