  1. When I first start my car up in the morning and poodle out of my drive way my gti was a sort of bunny hopping like a learner driver at lowish revs in 1st and 2nd, once warmed up it is fine. I thought about throttle body but it's very low milage and should be fine right? Anyway I've been alternating filling my car up with a full tank of premium and then a full tank of standard alternating. I stuck a full tank of shell v power in and it doesn't do it now. Looks like my gti is a bit fussy on what it drinks the bloody snob. Thing is v power where I am is £1.08 a litre, 7p more than standard shell. I've been filling the standard stuff up at morrisons. Does that mean morrisons is poo petty? I might try shell standard but does any body know what's best value and what does everyone else use with their gti? I've been using redx injector cleaner too so that shouldn't be a prob.

I'm sure someone will know more about this than me, but i think the gti was made to be run on 98 octone fuel, my sport has never touched the standard fuel from new...has only had shell v power and has no problems with this at all!

  2. I finally am gonna be classed as an adult not a teenager soon :) the big 20!

me and a few mates driving over to amsterdam in the lupo..from the 1st to the 5th

anyone else gonna be there at those times?

anyone reccomend any places to visit?

  3. What part of Surrey are you in? I could come and drive up and down your road just for the novelty factor

Down by oxted/caterham way..but am in guildford alot as i ice skate regularly :)

please come drive past me sometime, i really want to know that im not the only lupo sport owner that actually uses theres on the road! because upto present, there is no evidence that people actually drive them lol

  4. Its the power to weight not the power, a lorry produces 550bhp but theyre slow because theyre heavy. st170 focus's would get eaten alive by 182's

Did i mention anything about the st170? i said focus rs which produces about 215bhp which from personal exerience would eat a 182 alive. Having owned a 172 myself i understand the big appeal for the cars but the insurance is way too much!

  5. I was looking at getting one of these aswell, but the insurance group is very high for the amount of power it produces..

Im now looking at the mk1 focus rs which is lower on insurance but turbo'd and about an extra 35bhp

just my opinion, can get alot better cars for the same money

  6. Me and a few mates are planning a European Driving Holiday for september..

Were unsure on the route but meeting down the pub tonight to discuss it..

Anyone have any places that we MUST visit? or any specificly amazing roads..

We're definetly heading through the alps at some point :)

  7. Mate, you've come on here posting pictures of your car asking for peoples opinions. When someone says they don't like something you can't turn around and say something along those lines.

The rear lights are hidious. Tints don't really go along with the theme of the car, and it really doesn't look as if its 100mm down at the rear. Badges you could have made look a million times better with a colour coded center.

It's good to see you're going down the Lupo road, but don't make silly comments like that when people say their own opinion, that of which you have asked for!

im not saying you cant say you dont like my car but instead of just saying it looks horrible, give constructive criticism! I'm not having ago at anyone..just something like

'Don't really like your rear lights, maybe get some cambridge lights or something instead and it would look alot nicer'

Which im planning on doing when i get some money

  8. Sorry mate but those tints and lights look terrible!!!

your personal opinion dude and maybe a few more people think that, but at the end of the day...i like how its turning out! and everyone has there different personal preference!

But next time, if you got nothing nice or constructive to say, then don't say it!
