Hi, My wifes 1.0 Lupo "51 plate" owned since new.
Petrol gauge has been a bit erratic and recently the temp gauge. Suddenly I have lost nearly everything on dash as in title.
Dash backlights work, Clock and Odometer (although it is not now increasing)
Any ideas please?

Lupo 1.0 2002
Engine check light occasionaly flashing and odb (android torque) code states a misfire on cylinder 4. (i presume if the coilpack it would misfire on 2 cylinders?)
I will start with plugs and leads
I have a eurocarparts local but they sell 3 different types of HT leads and numerous plugs.
Is more expensive better?
Any advice please on which to buy - need to buy asap
Thanks

A very late update to this but may help someone
- replaced the load relief relay (what a pig to get at - mrs lupolad managed to get it in with her petit hands~) and been ok for 2 years!!
-
So did a full account of what was not working as i could see
Indicators
Wipers front and back
Windscreen wash front and back
Blower
Rear screen heater
Fog lights
Parking Brake indicator light
Half way to my local garage for them to take a look and the rear wiper that i had left on springs into action.
Test everything else and all working.
Have given it a good workout and cant replicate fault......went into garage and they said not really worth looking for a fault that isnt happening!! cant blame them.
Cant see this is the end of this but there we go.

Bollards - Just tried a new switch (didnt fit it just plugged it in loom and turned with a screwdriver) no difference.
Looks like I will have to pay someone to do it.
-
Ignition switch is also a likely cause to make all these fail?
Damn did not realize it was a hell of a job to change - may just get a cheap replacement ignition switch and try by plugging it temporarily and seeing if it makes a difference.
-
Definately not the fuses
I can also add blower not working to the list now aswell
Googling I see mention of a X contact relief relay causing this type of fault.
I can see the tops of the relays behind the fuse box but cant find how to get at them - I have unscrewed the fuse box and taken the trim from below the dash off and can see a sort of wiring rack but cant shift anything.
Edit managed to get to relays by cutting cable ties holding main loom in place - can only find 4 relays
53 - headlights?
410 - fuel pump?
19 -Wipers?
100 - Horn - edit ..Think this could be the load relief relay
Cant find a layout for these anywhere.

Hi anyone following this thread - just found out the wipers front and rear and washers all not working either.
The only thing on the stalks to work is the headlight full beam pull and the parking light left and right.
Any one give me some pointers.
Thanks

Just tried the hazzard switch from the lupo on my dads polo and works fine. Tried dads switch from polo on lupo and no go for indicators
Now what?
Have taken the casing of steering column and no disconnected cables.
Could it be the stalk? considering parking light works using indicator stalk left and right.

Joey
Did you fix yours in the end - was it the relay as I have same problem as You. Hazard fine no indicators suddenly stopped. Parking light fine.
-
Right after further investigation am I right in thinking the indicator relay is seperate to the hazzard relay although still in the hazzard switch housing?
-
My wifes lupos indacators have stopped working overnight!
Hazzards work fine
Checked the fuse (no 7) and fine
If i move the indicator stalk with keys out and door open I get the parking light warning sound suggesting the stalk contacts are ok.
From reading i see the indicator relay is in the hazzard switch so presumably this is ok as the hazzards work.
Any help please
Cheers

Hi, I realise this is over 5 years old but just in case you are still on the forum, did you discover the fault?
I have very similar and tearing my hair out (if I had any )
Edit - just seen you have not been active since 2017
