I changed my bushes to powerflex recently, i got the old wishbone bushes out by drilling through the rubber bush with a powerdrill, and I tapped out the metal ring with a large screwdriver and hammer. the powerflex rubber bushes need to be pressed in with a bench vice, fairly easy. hardest part is putting the wishbones back into place on the car

Okay, so what car's have driven or been out in, that you've been massively excited about, and then been massively dissapointed by?
My number one has to be a Nissan Skyline GTS-T. Allegedly tuned to 330bhp, in reality, it had the straight line performance of a mildly tuned Saxo VTS, and the cornering capabilities of a whale.
Being truthful, my VR6 has slightly dissapointed me. It surprised me, and plenty of other people with how effortlessly it piles on the MPH and winds round to 140+, and how capable it is on twisties with decent tyres and an altitude drop, but in a straight line, it's a bit pants. Caught slightly off guard, the odd French hatch will give you a good run, and I suppose you could include a Lupo GTi in that.
Discusssssss...
180bhp from a 2.8 vr is shocking... only thing i like about vr's is the v6 roar

I wana get my lupo corner weighted at some point, do they do adjustable camber top mounts for the GTI?
-
I didnt fit the F16 box as its a smaller ratio than the F20 and there would be no grip, as traction can be a probs when heavy footing it...
As for updating the book, its more of a re-sale thing. I am insured fully on her, and the paperwork could be sent off at any time if needs be, but as the cars up for sale i cant wait 4 weeks for it to turn up.
The car hit 120 in fouth and still had 5th to go.. ive been told the f20 is good for 150-155 but im not 100% sure, and to be honest my private parts arnt big enough to try it in a car that size lol. I know my coscast 2.0 16v redtop with an f16 in a classic nova hit the 144mph mark and was very close to the limit, so the f20 should be a good bit more.
As for the crash test, i saw the video after we did the conversion.... lol.. although mine has a lot of extra strenghthening bars and plates welded in, and fully seam welded engine bay...
I know most people hate these cars, and to be fair i did prior... but it was one of them moments where an idea turned into reality and we ended up having a go.. Its now the only one in the world, although im sure someone will have a try at copying!
Must admit it wipes a lot of peoples smiles off their faces, as with it being a seicento i usually get a few chavs try to have a play in their 1.2 vauxhall corsa's....
I had it on the way to trax, some fat kids in a corsa doing the old w*nker sign out the window to me.... left my car in 5th and blew them a kiss while planting it lol..
I wouldnt get rid of it if i had any other way, but i cant afford a second car, so going back down the slow and low lupo route....
fair play to you mate i couldnt care less what they look like butid drive one anywhere with that engine in though
-
pissed that I cant make this
-
if you have recently fitted new suspension and not had the tracking/allignment re-done it will wear out your tyre tread very quickly due to the camber degree being incorrect.

it's true though, it could be sitting in someones garage right now being broken for parts. so rich has said what could of happened if you had been unlucky !
-
I would make a start by changing your topic title, can you tell me whats so 'epic' about your lupo compared to eveyrone elses on this website? you're blowing your own trumpet a fair bit already.
i'd ditch the fast car sticker on the back aswell !

If the wheels you would like to fit are flat faced then you could enquire about getting the existing bolt holes welded up and then redrilled to 4x100, saves ****ing around with adaptors n overlapping bolt holes
If not, just wait around untill a set come up in 4x100.. got any pics of the wheels in question?

But putting a GT badge on something that isn't a sport is not relevant, and this is what I was referring to, which you tryed to correct me about and failed.
