  1. Don't worry, it will go, along with my username, and I'm not getting a new username till I get the car. I'm quite sadly supersticous about such things. I got a new watch recently that was a late b'day present off my dad, for some reason I've decided its unlucky to wear it before I get the car. I'm not really sure why

I'm actually much happier now I've seen it, especially with its reg plate on. Plus I've been invited away with my girlfriend, her parents, her parents best friends and her little brothers, which may sound like a nightmare but I love her family and its a big sign of acceptance to us so I'm pretty chuffed.

Oh, and I've been charged with finding the cottage, so I guess I might have to accidentally pick somewhere in north wales and perhaps maybe it might be near the evo triangle. Now how lucky would that be! biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Thats due to happen a week after I get the car, so it won't be worn in yet, but fun nevertheless.

  2. Anyone here? Was a woman driving with blond curly hair I think, and a guy in the passenger seat who jumped out and went to the garage over the road. This afternoon about 2:30ish.

Some lovely cars at the new posh car dealer in Cardiff. Its split in two, porche on one side and then the other side of the building is Ferrari and Masserati. Had a F40, 355 and a 575. Not bad little lot biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Plus theres a new Bently dealer by the MINI place, not so impressed with the Conti, looks big fat and not very nice looking at all. Shame, I quite liked it before.

  3. Popped into the dealer this afternoon, cars sitting in the lock up with the reg (my mums old reg plate from her golf) on L8 LMW.

Its so so so so nice, I now know I've made the right choice with the colour, after agonising about it for so long. Subtle but nice. Interior is cool, glad I didn't have the red seats, as the I like my interiors dark. Looks a bit grubby mind, but I suppose it has just sat through a few days of snow.

I so can't wait, gutted that I can't have it this week. And it might be even longer than next weekend as although I'm free, my girlfriend isn't until the weekend of the 14th, and she really wants to be there. Nevermind, I've seen it, and its cheered me up no end!

  4. I'm not having such happy days, it doesn't look like I will be able to get the gti on monday afterall. The insurance cover note arrived a few days ago but I've been waiting all week for the reg certificate from the private plate that my dads asked me to put on it, no sign of it this morning and he went on holiday this afternoon. No prob I said, I'll get in the punto and come upto the midlands to get it. Ah, he says, its being delivered to our old house in shropshire which is up for sale and I don't have a key. Fock.

So, I will have to wait until he comes back off holiday in a weeks time and hes going to drive it down to me as a favor. Bit miffed as I was not at all fussed at having the plate, would have prefered an 04 one.

    Nevermind eh.

  5. QUOTE(lucy lup)
wat do u all think about the new hot hatches coming out.

There is the clio 182 which u can buy now

    fiesta st

corsa gsi 1.6 turbo 170 bhp owwwww

    mini convertible

    seat ibiza fr

    c2 vts

    tigra gsi turbo

    colt 1.5 turbo

and not to forget the new lupo gti i wonder who will get one 1st

Clio 182, nice, like em, new wheels are cool. But there are too many flooding out of car supermarkets for them to be considered a q car.

Fiesta. Not a chance in hell thanks very much. Not a ford fan.

Corsa. Same again, as soon as it comes out there will be 10,000 more just like it crowding mcdonalds car parks, except they will be 1.2s. And it may not make it into this gen of corsa either.

Mini Convertable. Looks cool, but they are absurd money over the tin top, and the tin top looks better. And apparently the order books are stocked up so the soonest you can have one if you order tomorrow is in time for the new plate....next March '05. Fock that thanks very much.

Ibiza. Sounds good, but apparently its not upto it. Hardly had glowing reviews, despite the 150bhp engine. Plus its got a `lardy-walter` de `silva-ass`.

C2 VTS. Wait and see. As long as it doesn't have that ****y paddle shift **** box, it should be ok. Smart looking car that again, come a years time, will be clogging drive thru's throughout the land.

Tigra.Promising, but a fair way off, and will probably be bought by girls like the last one.

If the rumor is true and the upcoming 3dr colt will have Evo versions, then it could be very very very cool.

    New Lupo Gti, who knows.

  6. ...was it you fran (it must have been, can't think there are many bahama blue modded loops in wales, and your reg is a giveaway!), in McDonalds car park, Nantgarw Park on the Trefforest industrial estate. Had a look around and couldn't see you, but as my girlfriend pointed out, you could have been in the cinema, I hadn't thought of that biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

What you doing in my neck of the woods eh? tongue.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

  7. Putting on a personalised reg (I'm not to fussed on them myself but it used to be my mums and my dad wants me to have it) and I'm dropping in the certificate and insurance cover note on Thursday, which he said would be plenty of time. I work about 3 minutes from the dealer so I can go while I'm in work on monday.

  8. I'm a bit worried about my car to be honest, I phoned the dealer today and he said they were aiming to have it delivered a week tomorrow, eg a day before I pick it up. Going to pop down in person and see if I can sort this out, seems a bit short notice to me.Hmmm.

  9. LOL, since when has Milton Keynes been in the Midlands! smile.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I would have said somewhere up near the top end of the M40, so its easy for people from London and south wales, and relatively easy from the North.

Stratford Upon Avon? Its quite nice there. Maybe a bit far south, though futher north than Oxford. Staffords a dump, and if its going to be in a dump, then the NEC/B'ham Airport is just as good. Actually, how about Donnington? Lots of space outside the museum bit, just as long theres no event on.

Dawn, are you going? If so, we could have a Lupo convoy from down here, me you and fran. No jokes crusoe. tongue.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

  10. I swear prices have risen since I was looking at used ones last year.

But heres a gem I've found, get some money off this and it'd be perfect, only downer is its red. (But everyone knows red is better than silver biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />)

  11. Jesus theres some weird prices on these things at the moment:

What happened about the one with parking sensors, that was a bargin.

  12. Get chasing them cars mate, I've found two that are relatively close two what you want, though it looks like you may have to sacrifice air.

One thing to try. Find a vw dealer you like (hard i know) and go talk to someone usefull in the used car department. Tell them what you want, tell them you've got the cash ready, and they'll find one. Hopefully.
